I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

I had a really nice conversation with Celia Keenan-Bolger at Don't Tell Mama last spring. I also had a really nice conversation with Stephanie Mills when she was in the Wiz. She was outside of the Broadway Theatre eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before the show. Chita Rivera knocked me over in the lobby of a theatre in Philly when her daughter was doing Platinum. She was so gracious. She apologized profusely and offered to by me another beverage. (Which spilled when she knocked me over) But hey! It was Chita!!!!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~
It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known. ~A Tale of Two Cities ~
Hehe, Emcee. To quote livelife, they'll "Get ova it."

Tovah Felshuh in my experience has been the nicest. She invited me and the other fans at the stage door to her dressing room for wine and cheese.
"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"
Really, I think most Broadway actors are nice. If anyone's not nice, they're in a minority. It would be unfair to label someone "not nice" based on one experience, because we all have bad days. The fans are really appreciated. It seems that Hollywood stars, when they come to Broadway, are also very congenial at the stage door.
i hate to say this (b/c i would not consider her a bway star) but Brooke Shields after a performance of "Chicago" was so nice to every single one of her fans. I was very impressed.
Marissa Jaret Winokur. She signed my Playbill and then we just chatted about both of us being from Connecticut, how she was feeling when she went back to Hairspray for a limited run, and some other stuff. Totally nice of her to just stop and have a conversation with a fan.
Christina Applegate. I love this woman. She has no obligation to sign autographs or anything, but no matter how she's feeling, she will sign an autograph for everyone that's waiting at the stage door. She may not be the most talkative or the most enthusiastic, but just the fact that she takes the time to interact is very kind and generous of her.

"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".

Ah yes, Donna Murphy too. I remember asking her if her makeup changed towards the end of "Passion" because she radiated such beauty to which she replied with a warm smile, "No, it just lightens a slight bit with powder". I realized at this point what a gift she had and it seemed like she sensed she had done her job well. Sweet moment....:)
