I went and saw Papermills INSANELY FREAKING FABULOUS production of Ratime ( can you tell I enjoyed it)..... while I was in Millburn, I spotted Norbert Leo Butz in Cold Stone there......
It was too late for him to get back to the show unless he is helicoptered in each night... does he live there? Maybe he was seeing Ragtime! Who knows.......
I'd be curious to knwo if he performed Sat. Night .. if not its cause he was at Cold Stone.. he he he he.
I believe he called out because he was having throat problems at the matinee and needed vocal rest.

I didnt want to be annoying, so i simply said "Congrats on your TONY!!!" and he said kindly " thank you " .. then I thought to myself.... (dont you have a show tonight.... ) BUT i didnt say that!:)
Guess when his doctor puts him on vocal rest, he goes and sees other shows! LOL Gotta keep himself entertained somehow.

It's funny because dairy isn't the best thing for your voice, but I guess he likes coldstone.
was he eating any ice cream? naughy, naughty. every singer knows that dairy is not the answer :)
I like Coldstone :)

They're overpriced for their mediocre ice cream. The Chinatown Ice Cream Factory--now THAT'S ice cream.
Cold Stone Creamery has the most wonderful ice cream. And, yes, I'm totally biased because I work at one, haha.
Norbert Leo Butz, the new face of Cold Stone.
Heck, if he were a spokesperson for Cold Stone, I'd go there.

ugh coldstone makes me soooo sick ... and now i associate it with the children international guys that attack me as i walk past the coldstone on astor every day.

Thespian--Go there!! Literally the best ice cream ever. Well, you have to go to Chinatown anyway if you'll be in NYC! Go to Wo Hop or Mr. Tangs for dinner then the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory for dessert!
HaHa....the Birthday Cake Remix definitely makes me sick...but only after I've had too much! Gotta love it
Well, in July, go to Cold Stone instead because our Red Pan Flavor of the Month is wasabi ginger. It's totally better than ICF's.

HeyMrMusic, I work at Coldstone also! But only untill the 30th and then im movin. Norbert would be an awesome spokesperson!
Coldstone does have really awesome ice cream, but back to Norbert... he does live in Milburn which would explain why you saw him there.
I think he actually lives in Maplewood (that's where he gets on the train). But it's one town over -- literally on the border. And I see him at the barber shop in Millburn.
He was out on Sunday, as well.

A bit off-topic. I was on the train to the Penn Station to see La Cage, and I think I saw Norbert, or someone who looks like him. He seemed like he was in a rush, so I didn't bother him to ask.
Oh, how I love all these Nor-bits (sorry!) ever since and before Norbs won the Tony.
That's really funny...doctor puts him on vocal rest and he goes to get ice cream, which is NOT good for your vocal chords....ohhh norbert, how scandalous of you!

oh everyone deserves to play hooky sometime or another. at least he got an excuse from the doctor, not like some who just win their tony and stop showing up cause they think theyre the sh**t
Oh no...my roommate is in NY right now and went to go see DRS Saturday, mainly for Norbert.
She's gonna be soooo mad.
I hope he's better soon. Not only for his sake, but I'm going to NY July 2 to see DRS!
Cold Stone is amazing.
