They can fix that whole issue by just taking that line out of the song.

1, you're the first person I've heard talk about this so it doesn't seem like a "whole issue" to most people, 2, can also be solved by using a younger actor for the flashback.

Carter Burwell is set to composed the music for this with songs from Alan Menken according to the latest rumours.

I'm back since there was more casting news for the movie. I for one am so excited about this news. I hope it happens! Turns out Hermione might be reuniting with Professor Trelawney instead of Professor Lockhart like she was originally thinking about doing in 'Cinderella'. LOL

Would it be creepy as heck to wish Alan Rickman could be the Beast? I mean, if they want to keep with the Harry Potter thing...and he's suave as all-get-out...

I wonder if they will be using the motion capture technique that the recent French filmed used... or do you think it will all be latex/makeup ala the Broadway show?

Dave and Lou Elsey are attatched to do make up and they usually work with Creature make up, they did the Make up for Beast in X-Men: First Class. :)

Why would someone else compose the music with Menken when he has already written a full score?

Apparently that was a false alarm posted online about the composer, I do know Igor Studios is currently accepting crew positions for the make up if anyone is interested. Previous experience is required and work is to be finalised and ready in April, the film is shooting in Shepperton. :)


I'd be happy with Redmayne although an offer is out there to Gosling apparently.

Quite frankly I don't see either of the rumored candidates (Gosling & Redmayne) as the Beast.

I highly doubt that Eddie Redmanye will be the Best. He just started shooting his new film, "The Danish Girl". I would predict that filming will take about two full months. In addition, Redmanye lost a lot of weight for the role.

Honestly, why not cast an unknown or something? It's not like Beauty and the Beast doesn't sell itself already...

Or they can cast broadway poerformers, at least we know he can sing it. I volunteer Aaroon Tveit as tribute...yes, this is the Hunger Games ()

New rumors are that none other than Matthew Crawley (ok, Dan Stevens) is now being pursued for the Beast. At least the age range is pretty good-- he's 32, but can easily read younger. Anyone know how well he sings?

Never seen Dan Stevens in anything but dang, everybody from the cast of Downtown Abbey is getting some pretty nice gigs outside the show!
