"come to the river rendezvous. Come to the river, flowing for just-ice..." With a small 2 note riff on justice, and the originally written riff on rendezvous! looove it

"Poppin' pussies into pies" from Sweeney Todd
"To kill outside St. Pauls, requires a lotta balls" from Jekyll & Hyde
Ash, why didn't you tell me about this thread?!
This happens to me all.the.time. They get so stuck in my head that I start singing them. Which can be bad. Case in point: "I'm not their fool, I'm not their n*****" from Ragtime.
Another Ragtime one- "She had life in her, lord she had my baby."
Rent "Nothing, your smile reminded me of-" (sang as Manley Pope- the way he says "nothing" has this bizarre accent to it)
It rotates between lots of songs, but I always keeping coming back to the same few lines.
"'Armfeldt?' Is that a relation
to the DECREPIT Desiree?"
from ALNM
and lately,
"When grandmama whose age is eighty
in night clubs is getting matey with gigolos,
Anything goes"

I have this line Mary Testa delivers near the end of Xanadu stuck in my head:
"They're only up to the first barricade scene across the street."
I don't know why.
"My girl moved out/My girl inflates/I think I had sex once, but I'm not sure"
From "The Last Real Record Store on Earth" in High Fidelity
"You can bet she's earning her sleep, SLEEPING AROUNNNDDD."
"Screw the middle classes, I will never accept them!"
"So Christian Dior me!"
I will not be the girl stuck at home in the burbs, with the baby the dog and the garden of herbs. I will not be the girl in the sensible shoes pushing burgers and beernuts and missing the clues, i will not be girl who gets asked how it feels to be trotting along at the genious's heels. I will not be the girl who requires a man to get by, and I.....
Not necessarily a line...but I love when Sherie gets to this part in "If I Didn't Believe" - The Last 5 Years.
"Blow by the wind, it clings to the tree unwilling to wither and die. " Grey Gardens
I have no idea why thats stuck in my head but I love it! Especially the way Christine sings it.
"Don't chew the scenery." - Xanadu
I can't get it out and I'm probably driving my co-workers insane as a result of it.
All of Mr. Cladwell. Especially:
"We say hail to you the duke of the ducats" "I can bring in bucks by the buckets" "You're Mr. Cladwell!"
and
"You're a toureador and it's cash that you gore; could we ask for much more? We really doubt it!"
"Let me tell you something. I am an actor, Lee - and I am a good one. But Willy Loman, that's a part I could never play; and I don't think you should play it either..."
-Assassins
don't ask me why...
does anyone...still wear..... A HAT?
I'll drink to that......
"Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude ... I gotta go disco" [title of show] *sigh*

Lizzie, stop fiddling with your buttons. You're fiddling with your buttons, Lizzie.
"And as I rule, I do not bond" -Legally Blonde

"Oh my god"
"Holy Mother in heaven!"
"Holy SH*T!"
Debra Monk rules...
The day after I saw Jersey Boys, I had "Oh me, oh me, oh my-o/Did some time in ol' Ohio" stuck in my head.
It was strange.
"T-H-E E-N-D, I can't believe it, I just finished my 1st script!"
From Sunset Blvd.
The stars, too, they tell of spring returning!
The shock of winter
"God I dreamed there was an angel who could hear me through the wall/as I cried out like in Latin this is so not life at all."
also
"A silver mask from a masquerade/around and round I twirled/you tack them up/so when you go/the world will be the one you know."
"A birdcage I plan to hang, I'll get to that some day. A birdcage for a bird who flew away."
