I haven’t seen anybody post about it, but Oracle says a Sabrina Carpenter 42nd St. produced by Ruden? And a new updated Carousel??
Anybody have any word on if these are real?

I don't see Sabrina pit stopping her career for a year so she can do a revival of 42nd Street... I'm Sorry.

And Carousel just had a revival in 2018...
That's all fine and dandy but... how does one make 42nd Street dark à la Sunset Boulevard? Have they read the script? A dark look into the underbelly of Broadway it ain't. And I adore 42nd Street.
(unless there's a vision I just cannot see for the life of me)
Love Carpenter tho and would love to have her back on Broadway one day.

Most random thing I've ever heard of. Sabrina Carpenter in 42ND STREET produced by Rudin sounds like Mad Libs.
I could see an "updated" CAROUSEL happening before that and I don't think that's likely either.
Out of curiosity, what was the last real scoop SO had? I know he's beaten a few announcements by a day or two, but I mean something along the lines of what's rumored here- big projects that are weeks if not months away from public knowledge.
Well, nice to know everyone is thinking the same thing I thought!
Not to mention both are very large shows, in a climate that makes even medium sized shows very difficult.

Like 42nd street with a dance chorus of 6.
Someone should tell him you're not supposed to get high off your own supply.
Why do folks continue to amplify this guy? He’s the embodiment of a broken clock being right twice a day…
Do what I do: pay the for the Discord, and get the info before it comes out, instead of being a bitter old man. Because let's not forgot how many bait and switches people used to do on here.
That’s one of the most bizarre rumors he’s ever shared—and really odd not to mention a director/choreographer in tandem with this concept.
Unless the show is getting a complete rewrite + new songs, these aren’t star vehicle roles, the book is thinner than Kleenex, and the songs aren’t that great.
She’d almost be better as Dorothy Brock than Peggy Sawyer. And would be hilarious for the washed up star to be 26.
I've tuned out SO for months, but there's a newly posted listing on Playbill saying that a Tier 3 work session is imminent (early 2026) for a Rudin-produced 42ND STREET. Michelle Dorrance is choreographing, but no director is listed.
As for Sabrina, her current tour is about to conclude, and who knows what 2026 will hold for her. After the great range she showed in her SNL episode, I'd love to see her back on Broadway soon. She'd be on the slightly older side for someone like Peggy, but she could easily pull it off. (Wanda Richert and Kate Levering were 22 years old when playing the role; Sabrina will be 27-28 when the next Broadway season rolls around.)
According to her website she's booked for Coachella come Spring. More likely more tour dates will be announced following that. More money doing that than Broadway.
I’d imagine if she’s going to commit to Broadway it would be to get a Tony and I don’t see that happening with 42nd Street,
