They aren’t going to Americanise it. What a silly idea

I do wish they had done something fresh with the Bear Back Story. Every time we have to deal with his story, the show stops.

I don’t have anything against Paddington, but the music I’ve heard from the show sounds very vanilla, very kiddy show. It also has shades of Matilda in it. Not sure I’m gonna be into it, and I think the race for Best Musical already has an ace which is Wanted

We all love a good bear back story.

They should put those "Have you seen this bear?" posters up at the Eagle.

They should put the posters up on FIP, lots of missing bears on the island this time of year!
If they were to Americanize the show they would have to rename it and the titular character to Penn and that would be stupid.

I suppose the announcement is definitely happening tomorrow…"
I guess Playbill accidentally posted a press release and immediately deleted it. First preview 3/30 with opening night 4/18 at the Hirschfeld.

Looks like they just have to wait until 9AM…did they say if any of the cast is transferring with it?? Like James Hameed, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt etc.?

How is posting about what happens at the end of act one of a musical that hasn’t even made it to this country yet NOT a spoiler? Are you all ok…?
It’s truly not that big of a deal, just acknowledge it and stop doubling down.
And continuing to poke fun about it like sixteen year olds is completely unnecessary.
Also “The flyer in question is included in the souvenir programme, and posted at the merch counters so it's not a spoiler.” <— how would anyone who hasn’t gone to the West End to see this production know any of this…? So, yes, very much missing the point.

Edit. This is the STUPIDEST discussion/argument this board has had in quite some time. And that’s saying something.

Well I guess now you don't have to see the show because you know one staging element that doesn't reveal any major plot twists, resolutions, or surprises.
