Good interview. I still don’t really understand her giving up her Equity card, though. I think she could have made the same points she made in that interview without it.
I get cutting back to save some $$$, but I would assume her equity dues wouldn't be that much for someone like her?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Geez...I feel like ever time I read a different article, she's throwing out more reasons.
Just like when you leave any group - just go, making a big announcement (which amounts to nothing) just seems like one is looking for attention.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Calling You is a song from the 1987 film, Baghdad Cafe. It was originally recorded by Jevetta Steele. Bob Telson, the songwriter, also recorded his version. Both versions appeared on the movie soundtrack. The song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 61st Academy Awards.
Patti also performs the song on her 1993 Patti Lupone Live album.

I watched the first two episodes of AHS NYC tonight, and Patti did two songs. Of course I recognized "Fever", but the second song was in a scene that changed and you could still hear the music. Does anyone know what that song was? Her voice sounded great!"
Gorgeous and haunting - Patti sounds simply amazing

The Union is pretty **** right now. Anyone can join. Most auditions are still virtual. It’s impossible to know if your videos are even getting seen. I mean we have huge super bowls and Grammys but we can’t have in person ECC/EPA like before Covid? Add in situations like Paradise Square where the actors got screwed… I don’t know. It’s not a great time for Equity.
