I'm not sure about that. There were definitely no entirely dropped lines. One specific instance I remember was right before You Don't Know, Alice took longer than usual to say no after Dan says they'll just go back to Dr. Fine and get another round of meds. I interpreted that pause as Diana taking her time to answer, because she said no in a very measured way as though restraining her obvious anger and frustration, and then performed You Don't Know similarly. So I didn't notice any dropped or nearly-dropped lines, just awkward timing.
"This seems to be a theme as of late. Last Thursday, during the "real rock star" therapy scene, Alice kicked her heel right into some poor girl's face."
Yep...My roommate...and she was fine. She's an actress as well and got a kick out of the whole thing. She and Alice exchanged messages on Facebook and Alice sincerely apologized.
I've been hit twice now by wood from the music box. The second piece was small, but the first one was good sized. I had Bobby and Alice sign it at the door after, and when I pulled it out, Bobby said "Oh thank God. When I saw it fly back I thought 'Please let it hit [her]! I know she won't sue.'" :P Now it's sort of a joke as to how long it will take me to collect the whole thing. LOL. (A while as budget is preventing a lot of viewings of anything.)

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
I could see her being so brilliant in the role. She could definitely act the hell out of it and could probably put a really nice twist on the score too.
Thoughts?

the two people I've been interested in recently as possible replacements are Emily Skinner (saw her in a NYMF show a few years ago about a group therapy and she handles the intricancies of mental illness welland she can sang) and Kaitlin Hopkins (i can actually close my eyes and see and hear her sing I Miss the Mountains).
when ducks grow thumbs then maybe my opinion will change.
Lisa could easily act it. She can play depressing and make you feel bad, she did that as Elphaba. As far as the score as a whole goes I'm not too sure, but she could totally rock "I Miss The Moutains."
I could not see Sherie playing Diana though...her voice is (I don't wanna say too strong) but just the completely wrong style.
But, I'm still really curious to see Julia Murney in the role.

Eh I saw her as Elphaba a few times and thought she was too sweet in that role...which isn't even in the same league as Diana lol so...yeah. I guess I think of Lisa as more of an ingenue rather than a darker character.
I think voice is a really interesting element to Diana, since Alice has SUCH a unique voice and after seeing Jessica Phillips I realized what an impact the vocals have on the role.
My vote is for Sherie Renee Scott. I don't think Emily Skinner really fits the bill, physically. But she'd do really well with the score.
How does Emily Skinner not fit the bill physically? Please enlighten me. If it's her Rubenesque proportions, I don't see how that's any more distracting than Sherie Rene Scott being built like a linebacker.
What about Carolee Carmello? Her acting would be fantastic, but I wonder if her voice is built for it. Not that she could play it, since she's busy with The Addams Family, but it's an interesting idea.
Julia Murney sang "So Anyway" beautifully in her concert at Feinstein's last month.
Given her history with Tom Kitt's music, I'd love to see her take on Diana at some point.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I enjoy Sherie Renee Scott's renditions of the songs on the demo. Her "Didn't I See This Movie" is actually pretty great. Of course, it's a different version than what's in the show now, but still.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I ADORE Lisa Brescia, but I don't think she's intense enough for Diana. She seems too sweet and delicate. LOVED her as Elphaba though. What a talented and beautiful lady. I think Julia Murney would be a very good Diana even though I find her vibrato grating. Her acting would make up for it.
no matter who they cast for Diana next, something is going to seem wrong because of Alice. Shes absolute perfection

IF they need to replace her. I'm not convinced (and I LOVE N2N) that this is going to have a tremendously long run.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
You know, I don't think anyone in this thread was seriously thinking Alice would need (or want) to be replaced. It was just idol chitchat about others who might be good in the role.
