Im curious what recent revivals youd revive when Broadway opens to fill theatres that could use the same set. Costumes. Orchestrations. Similar to waitress having another run.
For me:
2017 Hello Dolly (with Bette or Bernadette or Donna or someone new like Dolly or Reba)
2007 Beauty and the Beast
2010 Hairspray
2003 Les Miserables (with turntable)
2008 Spring Awakening
For reference, the word you're looking for is "remount" - revivals to "remount" or to have a "return engagement." Not trying to be pedantic, I just find that these terms are underused, and are very useful to describe what you're describing, and distinguishing it from an actual revival.
The recent "Hedwig" revival, with another slew of stars, might be good! Did they recoup the first time? I can't remember
EDIT: Just looked it up - it seems they did!
“Hairspray” needs to come back as soon as humanly possible.

If we’re just trying to fill theatre space to get Broadway up and running again, I’d love to see the 2017 Once On This Island revival come back for a limited run. I think they did a wonderful job adapting to a proscenium theatre and could fill seats. HOWEVER, I do not think this show would bring in much profit during its limited run.

I wouldn’t hate a limited Spring Awakening remount, even at somewhere like New World. For the 2000s teenage fans it’s been long enough that it’s nostalgic. I’d love to revisit it as an adult.

My first thoughts were the Spring Awakening and Color Purple revivals, but that’s only because I personally want to see them again.
Hairspray is a fun show, but I do wonder in the current climate of the US if there is concern about possible backlash that the show is about a white savior (not saying I feel this way, but I could see others might)
If they could get a couple names - Dreamgirls and The Wiz.
Maybe RENT for six months using the 25th Anniversary Tour set?

For me!
Kiss Me Kate with Corbin Bleu, Stephanie Styles, Kelli O'Hara
Amelie
Fiddler On The Roof Revival 2015
An American Girl in Paris
Kinky Boots
2019 Oklahoma! (with Ali Stroker)
2016 Shuffle Along (with Audra and Adrienne???)
2016 She Loves Me
2018 My Fair Lady
I’d love to see a revival of Grey Gardens with some
casting that might make it profitable and a draw. Possibly Bette or Meryl as Big Edie. Michelle Pfeiffer, Amy Adams,or Emily Blunt as young Big Edie/Older Little Edie, Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney as young Little Edie.
I think it’s a great show that sadly closed early and at a loss because it didn’t have any star power.

Actually, changed my mind. I wouldn’t mind if Great Comet returned for a limited engagement. Unfortunately missed the Broadway run in 2017 and I still regret not making a trip to see it.
I think Kinky Boots might do well post-pandemic. It's a feel-good story, and the struggle of many small businesses to stay open during the pandemic will make it more relevant.
In addition to the revivals that are currently set to return to B'way in the future, I believe Rent, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, Hello, Dolly!, and the London concert staging of Les Mis would all do well. We will see about Into the Woods; City Center transfers are not completely out of the question (see the most recent Sunday in the Park WIth George and Gypsy revivals).

Don’t forget the 1996 revival of Chicago that started with Encores

Hello, Dolly! with Goldie Hawn or Queen Latifah
Chess
The Wiz
Dracula (The play)
And I too would love to see Queen Latifah in Dolly. I was praying for it when the show opened.
I will stop saying Ragtime when it happens.

I would also like to add Hedwig as well there are some actors and actresses I would like to see take on those roles.
Bring back the Jake Gyllenhaal SITPWG. Film it, then air it on a streaming network then it can be nominated for Emmys.
Remount the original production of Dreamgirls.
I know Hello Dolly numbers dropped with Bernadette, but didn’t it really close just to make way for Rudin to play TKAM at the Shubert?
If so, bring back Hello Dolly. I feel that production could’ve played and toured for years, saw it twice, am only 24, and I adored it. Felt like a big ol’ Broadway musical. I wish it’d come back as the stunt casting choices are endless.
In my opinion the Dolly numbers suggested they could have continued if they found another decent star (Donna Murphy not a big enough name based on the couple weeks she did a full schedule). However, I think it's too late now - if they were to remount the production there will need to be new capital involved and if it has similar financial management there is no way they would pay it back unless they were able to get a Bette-level star again. Scott Rudin is also no longer around who was probably influential in making a lot of things, including star casting, happen. I know this is just a dream thread but in practice I think it will be next to impossible to remount - dolly is sadly dead.
So, from reading this: nearly everything should be brought back.

Immediately
One thing about Dolly was that it recouped but didn't make much money for investors. If they bring it back in any way they'll have to drive down the weekly nut which was at over $800,000.
