The perfection of this casting is *chef’s kiss*
Rob deserves all of the success Broadway and off-Broadway has to offer!

Beyond happy Rob is booked again so quickly after Doubtfire's closing, and for such a GREAT role. Insanely talented guy and one of the hardest-working in the business.
Does this mean Little Shop is going to close now?
I kid, I kid!

Super happy for him, this is really exciting! Hopefully someone is preparing a leading role for him in a show that can be a big success on Broadway, he really deserves it, but this is great to see him onstage again so soon. It’s cool that he and Christian Borle will be back on stage together! (They had a few months of overlap in Something Rotten)
Was about to buy a ticket to see Skylar Astin but now im gonna wait to see McClure. PERFECT casting imo.

Nearly my thought too....I mean, I'd. LIKE to see Skylar, but I'd LOVE to see McClure.

Now I have to go back and see this show again. When does Christian Borle leave the show? Are there overlapping shows with both Rob McClure and Christian Borle?
McClure always seems to find work. So talented. I've always wonder if he ever auditioned for Book of Mormon? Seems like perfect casting.

Yes! I fell in love with Rob's acting at the Muny over a number of seasons and varied roles but I was so excited to see him and Borle in Something Rotten. I was gushing over them both to my coworker who I dragged with me and she was clueless, but did enjoy the show. Now I just have to talk my husband into adding this to our NYC trip in August...
Just booked a ticket last week for late July using cide DIRECT921 on Telecharge offers. Really good deal, regular priced seats listed at $149 for $69.
Drives me crazy that as a leading man, he hasn't had the best of luck opening a show. He's such a talent. But I'm happy that at least he'll have a steady gig, and such a perfect role for him. Definitely want to see it with him again.

In an interview at one point he talked about how leaving Beetlejuice for Doubtfire was the first time he didn’t stay with a show til the end of its run which is insane. He really deserves to lead a show that is good enough to outlive him
This casting is lovely, Rob seems like such a sweetheart. Having Rob and Christian in such a small cast together is incredibly special.

I bought tickets for an upcoming trip to see Skyler after seeing an understudy last time. Now it turns out that I'm going during the time between Astin and McClure. I'm wondering if I might be able to exchange them because of the change?

While I think he is a great choice, it is unfortunate to see the general lack of diversity in terms of replacements for Seymour so far.

The last Seymour before Skylar was Conrad Ricamora which is great since Asian leading men seem to be exceedingly rare in theater

One more day!
Looking forward to seeing McClure.

Saw McClure last night—as expected, he’s perfect as Seymour! It was nice to see something a little different from the genre of actors who’ve been Seymour thus far.

Diversity win! The fourth Seymour out of six was non-white!
Rob is out of the show with covid. Had tickets to see his opening night last week but was dealing with covid myself. Switched my tickets to tonight only to find out he was gonna be out. Sad but still hoping for a good show!

Coming in this weekend & chose this show specifically to see him. Very disappointed. Would I be eligible for a refund to go see something else?

May not be helpful for your case, but sill wanna share in case someone else finds it useful:
last time when Skylar Astin was out because of COVID, I contact Telecharge to exchange my ticket. They asked me to purchase another ticket before they exchange my ticket. It's very weird as why couldn’t they just do it intheir system? Anyway not a big problem as I was determined to see Astin.
For refund - i guess you should be able to do so, considering McClure is above the title.
