I was just watching the end of The View and Rosie mentioned she was going to see Spring Awakening tonight. She said she would let everyone know what she thought about it tomorrow.
cant wait to hear what she has to say about it. i think she'll enjoy it
I think she'll love it.
*goes to TV to set The View to tape tomorrow*
I saw about 10 minutes of that show this morning.
Rosie loves EVERYTHING. There is never any show she doesn't say "it's the BEST show I've EVER seen!" afterwards.
Love Rosie -- but her Oprah-ish gushing doesn't make any impact on me whatsoever.
this is a bit off topic of Spring but, does anybody know who the broadway boys were? One of them dressed as the toilet paper looked like michael mcgurk =D
I think she loves it already. She used "The Song of Purple Summer" in one of her newest artsy emo movies on the blog, and under "Recomendations" she has the cd.

T. Oliver Reid was one of the guys in tuxedos.
I think it may have been McGurk but I really didn't pay close enough attention.

lol, I'll be there too...
Me three.
Am I the only one who thinks she won't like it? She praised Mary Poppins and The Lion King...SA is so different from those two musicals.
I guess even if she doesn't like it, she'll gush about it tomorrow on The View anyway...
There's a gay sub-plot.
She'll praise it to high heaven.
WAT: So someone who likes THE LION KING or MARY POPPINS can't possibly enjoy SPRING AWAKENING? Haven't you heard of variety?

munk, I was thinking exactly the same thing.
Sure, she's a champion of the family musical spectacular, but she'll love something this....raw/frank/sexual.
I love Rosie, but she's an easy sell. She loved SEUSSICAL...
And then she joined SEUSSICAL...
Thanks for the heads up. I would love to hear what she thinks...

Taboo wasn't exactly a Disney show either.

She may have enjoyed Lion King and Mary Poppins and said they're the best in FAMILY entertainment, but she also produced Taboo. I think she can enjoy the edgy too.
SM2: Yes, it is definitely possible for someone to like Spring Awakening and also like Mary Poppins and The Lion King...Rosie may very well LOVE Spring Awakening and praise it as much as she did Mary Poppins and The Lion King.
Is it possible for Rosie to hate a musical? Or does she *love* everything?
I, for one, LOVED Mary Poppins, but did not particularly enjoy Spring Awakening, so maybe I'm just asking this question based on personal tastes.
Didn't mean to cause tension in the thread...

Whoever is going tonight, we need a full review please!
Are you the lucky (or unlucky) one sitting next to her? Ask her how she feels about Donald Trump.
People can like a lot of different musicals. Taboo isn't exactly Mary Poppins and The Lion King either.
Sweet, you want a review of the show? (there have been a hell of a lot already)
Or a review of Rosie watching the show?
I'm sure Rosie will gush.
