"Is it possible for Rosie to hate a musical? Or does she *love* everything?"
I don't think Rosie has the capacity to hate... unless it concerns a certain Trump.
"Didn't mean to cause tension in the thread..."
Aww, don't fret, bud. You have a right to your opinion. Defend it.

Rosie is a lover of Broadway and I'm sure she has some shows that she truly likes more than others. But she wants Broadway as an industry to thrive and since she has a public forum, she is going to encourage as many people as possible to see a show. It would work against that goal to say, Yeah, I really didn't care for that. I think she also is humbled by how hard all of the casts and crew work on any show whether it is crappy or not.
of course she'll love it and hey it will maybe bring some folks to the theater so good for her! I hope she has a blast and am interested to hear her thoughts. Hopefully this means that they'll get a performance slot on The View~~ ahhh!
RIP Natasha Richardson. ~You were a light on this earth ~
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
you know, I was thinking... is My Junk way too.. suggestive to do on tv? because um, as much as I LOVE Song of Purple Summer, if they did My Junk that would just be incredible! The harmonies in it make my life
aaand there was need to be good, full length interviews because the cast is FAR too adorable not to have them. :P

In response to the Rosie loves everything. I've noticed that if she doesn't like it, she doesn't mention it. You don't remember the ones she doesn't mention, only the ones she does.
So, now that she's mentioned Spring Awakening on The View *before* she has seen it and stated that she will be giving her review on tomorrow morning's show, she is obligated to love it, right? Or she could just not mention it...
Don't mean to thread jack, but does anyone else find it odd that Rosie hasn't mentioned the revival of COMPANY once? Not a word about the show or its stars. Think it could have anything to do with her rumored stormy working relationship with Raul Esparza on TABOO?
I've been waiting for Rosie to say something about A Chorus Line, but she hasn't mentioned it. Does anyone know if she was at the opening or saw ACL at some other time??
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Was Lea Michele in Fiddler while Rosie was playing Golde? If so yet another reason why she would probably not dislike the show.
I personally think that she will love it and completely relate to it since she had such a rough, disconnected childhood herself. I mean - as if she could relate to "Totally F*CKed" as of late!
I think that Rosie's amount of gushing can give you a hint to her true opinion of a show.
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
She'll probably jump on the "it's the next Rent" bandwagon. I'm curious to know what she thinks as well, though. The fact is, that if she absolutely LOVES every show she sees, her overwhemling support and endless gushing over any show is good for the industry on the whole, be it Disney or something a little more high art. Her word gets airs time, and in turn, can get butts in seats.
I'm hoping she does a few good plugs for the Company revival, and am also surprised she hasn't mentioned it yet, because Raúl did Taboo and whatnot. From what I undersstand, it wasn't so much a "stormy working relationship" overall as it was one isolated incident blown out of proportion by the press. She pursued him like mad for that role, and thinks very highly of his talent, and he's done a lot of post-Taboo press laughing off the incident, saying that it was all worked out shortly afterwards.
I didn't see all of Rosie's reactions, 'cause of where I was sitting and I was focusing on the show, but I can say that she was the first person on her feet at curtain to give a standing ovation.

So when "stars" come to see shows do they make an entrance as everyone is seated so they dont get bothered or do they enter with everyone? What did Rosie do? Do they mingle with audience at intermission?
