I think it's pretty clear that there was foul play here. And BARNONE, you are quite wrong. From what I hear, the Nederlander Organization DOES intend to do something about it.
I would hope that the people who did it, learned their lesson and won't do it again and that is enough on their end. No need for personal attacks on anyone's character. It's the box office that will hopefully be reprimanded so it DOES not happen again. I think that's all that people want out of this.
Although...BARNONE, your post was unnecessary. While Kelly hasn't always behaved in an appropriate manner, I am quite aware of who you are and your behavior has been much more reprehensible. I'm not calling you out or posting pictures (shame on you, lauren!) but I am just saying that perhaps you should realize that this same thread could be about you and I don't think you would like if someone posted a response like that in regards to you.

Well said, Marilyn.
Perhaps this thread should end here. If something is done about it, it can be posted so people know, but other than that, what purpose is this thread really serving now? There is enough vicious threads on this board, attacking people's character...we don't need to add to it. If people are angry, they can report it or complain and with enough complaints, results should happen. OR people can be content to know a stink was raised and it won't happen again and let it go, but this thread is no longer accomplishing anything.
Edited to say...Marilyn, I like your name! It' even in my signature :-P

Posted: 3/11/08 at 5:59pmI guess I missed something that's now been deleted but in case anyone is wondering, A) this thread is about the rush line and B) while incredibly detailed, it's not the first and only time fans have dressed up as Orfeh's character on Halloween. It happened at SNF too. That has less than zero to do with whether or not people in the box office were wrong. I'm also still scratching my head over the fact that this was all to see an understudy go on.

Posted: 3/11/08 at 6:05pmI agree Ruprecht but there's so much more wrong with this thread than meets the eye. I do wish people would stop making up new names to essentially mess with the same posters about things that have nothing to do with not too bright box office workers. that's all this should be about. the people who were "allowed" to do this aren't really to blame as much as people who should know better. The rushers big mistake was that they have BIG MOUTHS and wanted to show off, that's all. There's really nothing else going on here. Dumb people all around.

That bit of truth should hurt!

Posted: 3/11/08 at 6:13pmI'm pretty sure that this wasn't just rushers showing off. They talked about rushing for 13 hour plenty in other threads about Haven!Elle. I know a lot of people were genuinely upset. Imagine if you waited on line in the cold for even two hours and then didn't get tickets because of something like this, you would probably be pissed. Again, I'm not saying that I know for a fact that' what happened, I'm just saying that there is a valid reason for this to be brought up.

Posted: 3/11/08 at 6:18pmI get that carryme but it wouldn't have killed the culprits had they showed a touch more discretion, hell lie if they had to, instead of being stupid enough to take pictures and tell everyone they did this and rub it in peoples faces. That's what I'm saying.

Posted: 3/11/08 at 6:21pmOh, my mistake, Foster. I thought you were saying that the people on the rush line who complained were showing off...I take back what I said then :-P

Posted: 3/11/08 at 6:24pm*Adults* repeatedly seeing a show like Legally blonde, making up imaginary friendships with actors in the show, fighting over tickets sleeping on sidewalks in Times Square to see Haven Burton, bribing box office people, or getting furious with those who successfully did, hmm let's see, yeah we're dealing with some seriously troubled people here.

Actually for the most part, everyone who slept overnight for Haven as Elle were under 18. There were only a handful of "adults" there.
Also Kelly is under 18 so it's not just adults who are "seriously troubled".
The people who are involved in this "rush drama" (i.e. the four who abused the rush policy) are over 18.

I'm not sure why it matters how old the people involved were.

Posted: 3/12/08 at 9:51amWhy it matters and why I specifically wrote *adults* the way I did was whatever the case may be and whatever literal age any of the people involved are, ANYONE acting like this over the age of 8 needs help. And the older they are, the more serious it becomes. I wonder where these peoples parents are and why it doesn't send up an obvious warning to them that their children are troubled.
