yes, the box offices do play favorites.

Over at SA, there is a patron that has seen the show close to 300 times. When stage seats go on sale, she waltzes up to the box office and buys a multitude of them: every month. NOT just two, that you or I would be allowed to purchase.

Obviously, they have an 'IN' with the BO...but you simply don't know why.

That certainly doesn't make it "right", but it couldn't HURT complaining to management.

(PS. If this has already been brought up, my apologies, but I couldn't read thru ANOTHER 3 pages of complaints.)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

As of now, NOTHING has been done to remedy this situation, despite multiple complaints and evidence of unfair play going on. I encourage anyone with information or who was there Sunday or Wednesday to contact the Nederlander Organization, and complain about the situation and explain what you saw happen. I'm sorry, but it's just not fair to allow this to continue to happen. I'd rather they eliminate rush completely.

"Over at SA, there is a patron that has seen the show close to 300 times.

If it's not, that would mean that individual has seen approximately 60% of the show's Broadway performances. Which, I love SA as much as the next person, but that's...insane.

It's not, unfortunately. Lauren Pritchard talked about her in an interview once, I think. They had a cake for her the 100th time she saw it.

I'm pretty sure she was discussed at length earlier. Isn't this the one who got some kind of inheritance so she can see a show every night or something?

That was Halloween, not some random Tuesday.

Way to spread rumors that you admittedly know nothing about (as evidenced by your many "I don't know her", "I've never met her" and "I don't know if this is true") and post a picture of a fan...isn't that a no no?

Whether or not that is Kelly is irrelevant. Kelly and the rest of the people on this thread aren't so much talking about behavior at stage door or with the actors but rather something to do with the box office. There has been plenty of inappropriate behavior at the LB stage door and many other stage doors, but that's not the issue at hand and it was kind of unnecessary for you to post pictures of her or anyone else. She isn't the only one that complained on this thread and what she has done in the past has nothing to do with what may have been shady behavior with the box office.

Edited because I must say, in her defense, she dressed like that on Halloween. I don't think it's out of the norm for people to dress like a Broadway character for Halloween. I can recall countless Elphabas, Mimis, Maureens, etc. that I've seen.

...Is dressing up like characters really any weirder than joining a message board to post pictures and rumors about someone you've "never met"? Kelly2's past behavior (real or imagined) has nothing to do with the fact that these other Legally Blonde fans are selfishly abusing the system (and other fans); stop using her as a distraction to avoid discussing the real issue.

yeah. I'd definitely say it was weirder..and it wasn't a distraction at all.

Lauren, I find it interesting that you joined today solely to muse about the identities behind the people on this thread.

And having such a detailed costume may seem odd to you, but perhaps she is really into Halloween or has a great attention for detail. Whose business is it? Certainly not yours.

In fact, it really wasn't your place to join and make a personal attack on someone like this. This isn't what this thread was about.

I'm glad that your first posts on this board are vindictive and malicious with no real point behind them. I really didn't want to get involved in another vindictive BWW posting match, but I have done things in the past that I'm not proud of and I've been attacked for them and I know how it feels and it's crappy. You don't have all the information. You've stated you don't know her, so perhaps you should just stop.

and halloween or not, it was still kind of creepy how she had the details to the paulette costume down to the tee and i don't think that shirt is sold anywhere, which means she made it..which is kind of creepy. also, to dress up like that to a show, halloween or not, is just disrespectful because it is distracting to the people onstage and also to the people in the audience who will often tend to look at the people in the costume rather than the actors onstage.
Creepy? She could've printed out a picture and been lucky to have gotten things that looked very similar to the outfit. And some people actually make their Halloween costumes, you know. As for the "distracting" comment, those people obviously don't know what the word "Halloween" means, and need to stop worrying about other people so much. And it's funny how you say you know someone in the cast, and then turn back and say that a friend knows someone in the cast. That's called hearsay.

And just to clarify, I don't even know Kelly and haven't seen LEGALLY BLONDE since the MTV taping. I really have no interest in the show or this dumb drama. I just think you're totally out of line.

hahahahahah..this thread is amazing. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

Anyway, back to the issue at hand, nobody was punished for what happened and nothing has been done and it's been far well over a week, so maybe you should just let it go (seeing as apparently the nederlander and everyone at the box office has) and assume that there was no "foul play" at the box office and that these people paid full price for these tickets and did nothing wrong. All this drama for nothing...well wouldn't that be just great...oh well, at least there was an amusing thread that came from it all. I guess that's a plus.

Except that someone posted a picture of the tickets in this very thread and you can clearly see the price was $26.50. The only question is are the box office workers allowed to set aside certain tickets for certain people, or if a ticket is listed at the rush price must it be sold to the rush line? If they can sell the tickets to whomever, as long as the price is the same, then that's that.

(This thread has been pretty amusing. I still can't even get over the fact that people slept outside overnight for LEGALLY BLONDE of all things!)

Oh, BARNONE..it's funny how much amusement you get from this thread...but I guess it's okay, because I laughed REALLY REALLY hard when you tried to sell your friends out to Orfeh, and only succeeded in being friendless. re: Rush Drama I guess that plan didn't really work out for you, huh? Oh well! It's STILL funny.
