Thanks for posting about TodayTix. I'm planning to see this during my trip later this month.

I would do anything to see Bonnie Milligan, Jess Vosk, Lilli Cooper, Shoba Narayan, Taylor Louderman, and Ashley Park as the Six. There is such great new talent who would absolutely kill in this show.

Agreed. The Arts Theatre is one of the smallest in the West End, and one of a small handful of West End Theatres with a "off Broadway" size. Several Off West-End productions (e.g Red, Take Me Out) made it to Broadway, but there is a world of difference between smaller, thought-provoking plays such as those, and Six, which is essentially a (Really, Really Awesome!) concept album sung on stage....

This cast would be killer. I would swap in Hailey Kilgore but I hadn’t even thought of Bonnie Milligan. She would be a great Jane or Catherine of Aragon.

First listen to the cast!

Okay, I WANT to hold off until we have some in person reviews buuuuuut I am unimpressed by this first listen sample. I give it a pass for the time being cus it's rehearsal footage and audio but they voices just don't blend well at all. There is no depth to the group vocals. No layers. When you hear the studio recording or you watch videos of West End cast doing Super Six (even the understudies) there is so much juicy personality and flavor to the voices that play well together yet each stands out at the same time. This is.... no... wait.... I'm stopping myself from judging to much to early. Give it until they are in costumes and with a full band BUT if it doesn't make a difference... if the show is gonna be serious about heading to Broadway, this might not gonna be the cast to take them there.

Yeah....you gotta slow down lol
I thought they sounded fantastic!
I fear I have listened the to the studio recording so much that nothing will ever match it to my ears. I'm ruined for life, lol.

This!!!! I love Millie's swag for Anne, but boy..her voice is rough.
The Chicago girls sound really good! I love the diversity when you see the all together.
Sam Pauly (Chicago's Howard) had some great footage of the Chicago cast all in costume on her instagram today. They look great! They redid Cleves costume a bit. Seems like they are always changing that particular costume but all the others are exactly the same with some small details like hair and hair asseccories.
ALSO, she's going to be leaving the Chicago company to go over to Regent Park's Evita in London so there is no way she'll be going with the show to ART since that runs through September 21 and Six starts at ART in August.
So for SURE, Howard will be a different actress for the ART run. Let the speculation on who could play it begin!

I don't think any of the women in the Chicago cast are expected to do the ART run. The Chicago Shakes production has always been a co-production with the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, which goes into rehearsal at the end of October.

I am sure that if any of the girl from Chicago are good enough they would go to ART and Citadel if the creative team wants them to IF New York is the endgame. While it's not being produced by the same people, the creative team is the same. The productions and the rehearsals will not overlap.
I doubt it will land on Broadway...It's playing-played houses under 500 seats so more likely New World Stages or Stage 42?
I've listened to the music and I'm not feeling it and wondering what's so good about it? Not getting it?
Head over Heels coudn't find an audience...will this on BWAY?
Been there done that.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Six_Wives_of_Henry_VIII_(album)

I think it's because it's something different and fresh compared to what we have now - that's why I love it. I "stumbled" upon a few clips that shouldn't have been recorded not too long ago. Seeing the music put together with the "book" and how much more there is to reach song than what's on the recordings is what really made me fall in love with it.
I know this is unlikely, but I need to post about it SOMEWHERE: Natalie Walker is my dream Boleyn. Her “Don’t Lose Ur Head” would be iconic.

Just going to throw it out there that if they still invite people to record the mega mix as they do in London, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would appreciate a video...

Did anybody see the first preview? How was it?
On the insta of one of the swings, the MegaSix was livestreamed, and they seemed to have no accents. Is this true throughout the whole show?

I see. btw, I'm obsessed with HADESTOWN seen it 2x already. I 'll give it another listen and check it out again!
I think I read somewhere that the creatives have said the actors portraying the queens will have the native accents of whatever country it plays- ie they aren’t going to give them all faux British dialects.

This is only the first preview so I am gonna withhold how I feel on this cast until we have some megasix footage after their opening. Cus I certainly have feelings from this first impression.
