Since March 4 is Grammar Day, I strongly suggest "should have gotten" or "should have been." Just kidding.
Say what you will about the show itself, but Shrek.

Even if you thought the John Doyle Sweeney Todd was lacking, the Set Design was really cool.

Way to correct someone's grammar and then use "your" instead of "you're." Good move.
As to the original question, I thought that Memphis was more deserving of a nomination than Ragtime. And of course both Christopher Oram and Neil Austin were robbed with Evita.

No apologies, I am this guy: Scenery that should have been nominated for a Tony.

You can change it for your own post (as has happened on this thread), but only the OP can change the subject line as it appears on the list of threads. I'm an avowed descriptivist, though. :)

Thanks for the tip!
The revival of Gigi should certainly have been nominated. I can't rbelieve call the scenic designer's name at this time.
^Derek McLane, who I also felt was overlooked for his work on Follies, Beautiful, and Noises Off.

Walt Spangler for Tuck Everlasting.
American Psycho
^American Psycho was nominated for Best Scenic Design of a Musical last year.
