Posted: 7/11/09 at 10:19pmAm in line now... Got here about 20 minutes ago and the line is already spanning 4 or 5 blocks. Its INSANE. I'm actually a little worried about getting tickets, but who knows. We're here now so might as well stick it out..

And there's a thunderstorm going on right now. It sucks that some of those people already in line might not even get tickets.

The rain for tonight's show wasn't at all bad. It felt more like drizzles than anything else and most people were prepared with hoodies and blankets to cover themselves with.
I passed the line on my way out and almost wanted to camp out with everyone just to keep them company. I really hope most who are there now are able to get tickets. Folks who walked by us on line last night were right though- it's worth it!

Posted: 7/12/09 at 12:15amI thought it was beautiful in the rain. I'm so glad I went tonight, and owe many thanks to my awesome, generous, brave friend. This show has turned into such a beauty. I'm really going to miss having it around.

To answer some questions posed here- agreed the rain during the show tonight wasn't that bad at all. We got about two minutes of light drizzle during Act I, and then the later half of Act II is when the rain started, it got heavier during curtain call, and the first thunder/lightening happened on the walk out.
Wow- the line for tomorrow night has filled up fast, we walked by it on the way out of the show tonight and it was ending before 85th St.
The first person on the standby line will be the first person on the 1pm distribution line who does not get tickets. For example for tonight's show the standby line started with those who got on line between midnight and 12:30am, as that was where the 1pm distribution allotment of tickets ended. Those who don't get tix get vouchers for standby, the standby line retains the order that they were lined up for tix. You can probably hop on the end of the standby line, behind all of the voucher folks, if you show up after 1pm, but no you will not be able to just walk up start the standby line, the line will have started way before that.

Posted: 7/12/09 at 12:22amMy boyfriend and I are right at the corner of 84th and central park west... I'm fairly certain we'll get tickets, but who knows. Just gonna wait it out under one umbrella!

WesternSky-
Stay dry out there!
Oh, and watch out for line cutters (our little section woke up before the 6am move into the park to find that someone had literally just sat down and cut the line while everyone was sleeping. And then on the walk into the park one of the police officers kicked out a different someone trying to cut the line in front of us.)
Hopefully Zack is your line monitor once you're in the park, he was awesome.
Oh, and Andys Deli will deliver to the line in the park, for breakfast needs: (212)799-3355
I hope you get tix for tonight!

Posted: 7/12/09 at 1:54amI got here just before 1:30 and am on the south side of 86th st. I don't have a whole lot of hope in terms of general distribution, but it'll probably take me just as long to get back to Astoria as it would to wait it out at this point . :) Can't wait to order from Andy's Deli when the line moves inside. Already hungry!

Posted: 7/12/09 at 2:53amMost of the cast - including Raul and Anne - just went down the line giving out pizza. I've been served pizza by Anne Hathaway.Glad that we stuck it out through the rain. :)

I saw Stark; they ran out of pizza just before me. That's so great!
I'm in a questionable area- head counts have ranged between 250 and 280 for my area. Here goes nothing...

Posted: 7/12/09 at 6:56amSo once allt he tickets are given out and the vouchers do a lot of the people leave or do they stick around on the Stand By line? If I go get on the line at 11:30 will I probably get a good spot on the Stand By?

Posted: 7/12/09 at 8:15amCharacter update- one of the line guys (not the built, super attractive one) just came through and said the following, added to the end of the rules announcement : "to those of you who waited on Central Park West last night, I wish none of you get tickets; it is a garbage dump out there." followed by a few more comments about it be despicable and embarassing. He specified the first four blocks, which is not where this portion of the line was situated, and not that I don't agree with him (I'm always disappointed by adults' inability to clean up after themselves in public- after lines specifically), but his comment was still in poor taste, IMO.

Posted: 7/12/09 at 8:25amWho is the super hunky/ uber dorky one? He's really cool and nice every time I've talked to him. Just curious what his name was, if someone wants to message me or something.
