Sherrie Rene Scott Zeta-Jones Fawcett-Majors.
The person with the most names wins.
In a perfect world, Zeta-Jones will win, and Sherie (and Scanlan) will win for Best Book.

Jan Maxwell.
Seriously though, I'll go with CZJ. Those Roundabout producers are going to have to run a hell of a campaign to get Scott the Tony, something I don't see them investing in seeing as the show is set to close in July anyway. Besides, she and Scanlan have a good chance at winning book. If I were her, I would put my eggs in that basket.
Gina Gershon?
I think it's going to be CZJ for Actress and Sherie for Book. A La Stew for Passing Strange.
But isn't CZJ leaving Night Music a week before the Tonys?
She leaves on June 20th. A week after.
i wish Scott would win, but it isn't going to happen.
having seen both, I'd choose CZJ
I saw NIGHT MUSIC again at the matinee today and CZJ really deserves the Tony. Her performance has really evolved into something very special - earthy and very moving.
Scott is doing a cabaret show! The only reason she is on Bway is because she has a rich husband. CZJ should win for talent and for surviving a lackluster revival.
How YOU doin'?
Scott deserves to win the award, but I won't be unhappy if CZJ wins.
I agree that CZJ will win Best Actress, and SRS will win Best Book. If I were the Tony Committee, and God knows after yesterday I wanted it more than Cassie during "The Music And The Mirror", I would do exactly what I said.

I know I'll be pilloried at the stake for saying this, but I didn't particularly care for Everyday Rapture -- it just struck me as so much psycho-babble. I've seen Scott before (she was the only saving grace in Aida and contributed mightily to Dirty Rotten Scandals), but I just can't get caught up in the general euphoria about her new show. On the other hand, CZJ was such a presence in ALNM that I could barely take my eyes off her. BTW, re: CJZ's leaving the show a week after the Tony awards, that's exactly what Glenn Close did after winning for Sunset Boulevard. So it's not like she's committing some heinous unprecedented crime. Just my thoughts -- no war intended.
Do you think that if she and/or Angela wins they will extend their contract through the end of the summer?
Jones is adamant about wanting to spend the summer with her kids.
Maybe she'd come back in the fall.
"Do you think that if she and/or Angela wins they will extend their contract through the end of the summer?"
The show has no advance past June 20th as of right now. If the producers of this show was to start selling tickets past that date, they are going to have to announce replacements very soon (or announce that the show is closing).
If Catherine and/or Angela decided to extend the night they win Tony Awards, Sunday, June 13th, that would only give a single week to get an advance for the summer months. I don't think that will leave them enough time...
If replacements are announced within the next month or so, Catherine and Angela won't have the option to extend past June 20th since the other stars will already have signed contracts.
To answer the original question, I'm rooting for Catherine Zeta-Jones to win for Best Actress in a Musical. I saw the show last Saturday matinee for the third time (from the seventh row center) and thought she was breathtaking...even better than in previews.
WHO SHOULD WIN: Sherie
WON WILL WIN: CZJ
And I could see CZJ returing in the fall if she doesn't have any projects scheduled. have a celeb fill-in from June 22 - September 19 and have CZJ return Sept. 21.

Catherine will win, Sherie should win & I would want to see Sherie or Montego take it.
Is Jan Maxwell nominated in this category, too?
And once again fflagg shows just now bitter. A bitter queen can be.
I have a new topic who's more tacky and clueless. Fflagg or Muscle ?
Catherine should and will win the award. Sherie sounds great, but Catherine really deserves this award for the excellent performance she's giving.
CZJ is an impeccable, nuanced actress who deserves the Tony. Sherie will get one someday-she is amazing.
Of all the nominees, I think Christiane Noll is most deserving of the award.
However, I agree with everyone here that it will go to Catherine.
It's interesting how the consensus is much more confident of CZJ now than when EVERYDAY RAPTURE was announced by the Roundabout.
ALNM will be the hottest ticket in town if CZJ and Lansbury are performing with their Tonys for just one week!!
