^ Thanks for letting me post it. I figured it would be a win-win situation to share the link, but you never know with some people. I thought the interview was short and sweet with some good info. =)
I'm not really bothered that they cut Tattle-tales, but am very curious about the new ensemble number. There could also be more changes that maybe he didn't mention. I wonder if Doralee has anything new/different. I guess this means that Out of Control is out too? I liked it but don't mind it being gone either (although that final note was great!). It seems like Judy's new song gets to more of her emotions, so I'm happy.
I am about to buy a ticket for RUINED on Wednesday the 8th and am a bit anxious as to whether or not 9 TO 5 will postpone their first preview to the 8th. Do you think they would have announced a change in date already? Or do you think it's possible that they'll push the first preview back, even though it's just five days away?
It's very likely they will announce a postponement soon. From what I've been hearing, the show is better than ever but still has a LOT of technical kinks that won't be ironed out by the 7th.
You really think the 1st perview might be cancelled? I really really really hope not, because I've been looking forward to it for along time and I couldn't see it the next night unless I skipped seder. I'm already skipping the 2nd seder for Blithe Sprit.
Well, I was at the 1st Shrek preview and nothing was cancelled and it seemed that all of the kinks were pretty much ironed out... So, ya never know!

Mark did mention that they have simplified it a bit and worked out alot of the kinks in LA.. and don't forget they already postponed the original preview dates to allow for more tech time.. It should be open the 7th.
I was wondering the same. At the first preview there were three new songs: I Just Might (replacing Out of Control and The One I Love), Change It (replacing Well Oiled Machine) and Always a Woman (replacing Mundania).
I personally thought Always a Woman was a dud song, so maybe the creatives realised that too and cut it. Anyone been recently who can comment?
Hello everyone.. I'm planning on seeing the show this summer and i was wondering if you guys think I should sit J 14 or U 110?? J is on the side but its closer, and U is house center, but farther back.. There both the same price.. I'm up in the air.. what should I do??
"It's terrible to have a house fall on you, it is, but accidents will happen"
just a small understudy note- Does Stephanie really need a Standby* AND 2 understudies?
*Gaelen Gilliland is not technically a standby however since she is not a swing nor an ensemble member she essentially is.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Actually Gaelen is a swing but is listed as an understudy in the Playbill for equity reasons. They can't have more that a certain number of swings or something. I forget what she told me, but she is technically a swing. She covers Doralee and Judy as well as 4 other roles. www.gaelengilliland.com
I saw it this past weekend and enjoyed it in a Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Wedding Singer, Legally Blonde kind of way. It was fun, just not earth shattering theatre. Lily Tomlin sat next to us and it was cool seeing the creative staff still with their note books in hand.
