Yea i didnt know you could make a list then post it. I have my cds catalouged but not that i can post here. Im going to start straight away. I have a collection of 1300 cd cast recordings from Broadway, London, Spain, Australia,South Africa and many other countries. Some shows i have up to 8 different casy recordings of-such as Chicago (4), Evita (13),Little Shop (7). Sunset Bld (7). I buy around 5-10 cds each month on average? They take up a lot of shelf space but i prefer the cd on my shelf than just down loaded to my laptop. Im always willing to burn cds for special requests. Now i cant wait to make that list.
I have two that I thought of so far. "Brigham!" with Harve Presnell about Brigham Young and "Damn Yankers" a 2 LP set performed by a national fraternity of dentists, about a dentist who sells his soul to be a broadway star.
I'm guessing mine is in the 400-500 range (about 150 CDs, 1-45 and the rest LPs, and maybe a 78 or two that I have never played), so a reasonable start on the basics and a few odd balls.
I do wish the site you could check LP or CD, some I have both. And some LPs I have 2 of the same recording with a different cover.

When i made my list a few months back I had to add the info for the PEt Shop Boys' Closer than Heaven--it wasn't in the list already. That's the only example I've found
I have been adding tons of Lp and 78 RPM records that were not in the database. Also updating the previous Lp editions of popular shows that have stayed in print but have been re-issued several times over the years.
Once everything is enetered this will be the most extensive listing of cast albums on the planet.
I have had several people e-mail offering to buy titles from my collection, but I am not selling anything just yet although I am happy to search out additional copies for others.
BTW someone contacted me a while ago about the original cast of DO RE MI. I tracked down a copy of teh CD but he no longer wants it. Anyone else interested? If so, PM me.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks." Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
My parents collected just about all teh cast albums from the 50s until my mother passed away in 1995, so I ahve a record cabinet full of show albums, literally.
I had no idea you could do this until last week! Wow! Im up to 467 at the moment and on letter 'I'. There are many i have that arnt on the site, any suggestions? and yes i'll consider burning stuff for people!
