Les Miserables. The show bored me to death.
The Wedding Singer. First song amazing, the rest a snoozefest.

i think phantom sucks hard.
cats is just horrifying.
starlight express? roller derby? maybe it was all the ludes people were popping back in the 70's.
aida my money back after suffering through this piece of ****.
sunset boulevard? the pool set design was the best part.
did anyone see bright lights big city when it was at ny theatre workshop. the guy i was dating at the time loved it so much that he insisted on bringing me after he had already seen it three times. shortly after the curtain call i broke up with him.

I am a huge Sondheim fan, and I've never understood how people could call Sunday In The Park With George his best work. I feel that it's one of his worst.

Mamma Mia. It's not a show, it's a very expensive cover band.

jacobsnchz,
I'm not sure if you are joking or not, but in case you are serious: Brenda gets knocked up.

Definitely Les Miz for me. I saw it for the first time last year, expecting to be blown away and inspired and in tears and all that, and ended up sorely disappointed. Yes, the music is sweeping and beautiful, but everybody interesting died! I found it rather depressing that the only people left to live on the the spirit of the revolution were a rather nebbish, boring man who was hopelessly in love with a weepy, even MORE boring woman.

Something I realized about Godspell is that it is extremely fun to be in, but when you see it...I've seen it 3 times after I was in it and didn't like it any of those times.

The Phantom of the Opera... as a kid, I loved the score (of course), saw it live and was really disappointed. I've since outgrown the score and pretty much hate the whole thing now.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. ??? it's just silly and i don't care about any of it.
Thoroughly Modern Millie. I couldn't get into this. Saw Sutton in it, she was lovely, but the show itself didn't do much for me.
The Producers. I could barely sit through this. I couldn't understand the hype for the life of me. I enjoyed the original movie though!

so refreshing to see the confusion amoung the show 'mamma mia'- winnipeg loved it, i hated it. TO loved it...i HATED it.
mamma mia is just a show that i 'don't get'- unless i'm a 50-something year old who enjoyed ABBA as a teen.
