Got left box C 1 and 2! Very excited for tonight! I think I got lucky with getting there at 7:45 and getting tickets! I’d suggest coming a bit earlier for people that want to make sure they get seats! I only see the rush line getting longer and longer as previews go on!

1. Awesome!
2. I wish people would stop reporting early times here lol....that is just going to make everyone get there earlier and earlier. Soon, people will be camping out! Ugh. And yes, before people attack me - Iknow how rush works, the most "dedicated" deserve these...etc. etc. I'm going next weekend andjust keep hoping I canget there at 8amand still get 2 tickets. hah! Doesn't seem likely at this point. At this rate, I will need to get there at 3!"
I mean...I posted my time here so people havean idea that there's no need to get there at 3:30am. I guess next time I'll just...not do that?"
I appreciate you posting your times. Even though I'm sure lurkers use these boards to gauge when they should arrive for rush, I doubt that accounts for most of the rush line. At least, that's what I gather every time I've talked to the people around me
While I understand Hairspray's concern, it has nothing to do with you. If you didn't post your 5:45 time, someone else would've anyway. And honestly, this helps me, bevause I want to score center orch tickets."
They just released center orchestra front row tickets on ticketmaster for tonights, performance, hmm wonder why sold those and put those on rush

That's really strange. Could those be unsold lottery tickets that they are trying to sell instead of releasing to lottery losers?

That’s irritating, considering they separated me and my friend because they said they didn’t have two together...

Ticketmaster currently has five seats in the first row for sale for tonight. AA105-109. Strange considering these are supposed to be rush seats. Maybe unclaimed lotto seats? They’re $229.
They are still unsold. I wonder if they will sell them for a discounted rate at the box office if they are unsold closer to showtime? They definitely don't want empty seats in the front row.

Are you go get 40 dollar front row center seats?
"
I'm unsure of what you are asking, but if these are unsold lotto seats (which likely they are), I think there is a decent chance they'll sell them for lotto price closer to showtime? Or am I way off?
I'm thinking of trying but if I don't, someone else definitely should. I'm curious. :)

Sorry i didn't mean any disrespect i'm just jealous that someone will get to sit front row center at a discount.
I would but i'm still in texas, i don't get to NYC till late tonight
I really want to see SIX when I am in NYC in late march or mid-May. It is THE show I am excited about this season. I am debating on rushing this show versus just paying the $79 for center mezzanine (row H), which offers a pretty good view in my opinion.
On one hand it feels painful to pay regular price. On the other hand, waiting 2+ hours to save $40 isn't ideal either. I am interested to know if this show will raise prices soon or if they might release a discount code in the future. I am also interested to hear if there are box office discounts for day-of walk ins.

Oh, no problem, I didn't think you were being disrespectful! These tickets usually are sold at a discounted price (and hopefully will continue to be), but it would be super lucky for someone to get them without having to line up for hours or winning the lottery. Maybe I'll swing by the theatre after work. If anyone else does, please report back!

Maybe I'm putting too much stock that these won't all sell full-price last minute haha. It is a hot ticket!
Happened to be in the area at 7:50, so I sprinted to the Brooks Atkinson and got there about 3 minutes to showtime.
No SRO left (unsurprisingly), but thought I'd try anyway. I wasn't able to learn when people started lining up, but the woman working the box office told me that she started selling SRO at 7:30. I'm confirming what's been said above, as she told me the only available seats left were $149. I didn't ask where they were, but I'm assuming they're the same ones being talked about above, so the answer is that they didn't end up lowering the prices closer to showtime.

I’d say go for rush...I was my friend’s +1 (meaning I was happy to go but nowhere near her excitement level and my only exposure before the show was at BroadwayCon) — that front row was FANTASTIC!
I’m not normally a fan of front row as you miss the “whole”, but this is basically a music concert on stage and having the surround sound with the excited full house behind you was exciting :)
Since you are coming in late March/May, the weather will be better, but that may also mean you need to get in line earlier.
I forgot to report back last night. I went to the box office around 6:00pm, and the box office attendant said that any tickets listed online would be sold at the price listed (ie no more rush or lottery). There were four people in line for SRO. It was too cold and she said she was unsure if they'd sell SRO, so I didn't stick around.

Nowhere does it state that those 5 exact seats are supposed to be for rush.

Shows doing well to very well ( though it's not like this show is selling out 6 months in advance yet ) typically go UP in price, not down.
Rush, and more specifically front-row seating, isn't guaranteed to be around forever but hopefully is.
Ok, I was annoying and stopped by the box office again around 12:30 to see about unclaimed lottery tickets (I don't work far away). The nice woman there explained that they are now selling any unclaimed lottery tickets at full price in the front row. So if 27/30 are claimed, they'll sell three in the front row full price (which I believe is what happened today). So no more selling unclaimed lotto tickets in person at the box office and that explains why we are seeing those front-row tickets pop up day-of on Ticketmaster.
And no - nowhere does it specify where these rush or lottery tickets are. So far they've been the front row tickets and boxes (along with side orch), hence our surprise to see them on Ticketmaster. But I know this can change any time and no one is entitled to a specific location with rush/lottery. :)
