This has me fuming and sick to my stomach.
I knew there was something off about this show and that’s why I didn’t bother to buy a ticket.
That is f*cking abhorrent, even for them. Wow.

They need to make whomever is in charge of their social team public knowledge, so they can rightfully be blacklisted from the industry. Simply "not buying tickets" to the show isn't enough repercussion for this disgusting behavior.
Kampfire is their marketing agency
I loved this show - truly. One of my favorite things I saw all year and have been talking about it non stop.
THAT SAID. For this to be posted today, the first night of Hanukkah, mocking a massacre of Jews that included A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR - as a Jew, my blood is boiling even more than it has been all day. I’m sure they’ll come out and issue some sort of an apology but I don’t think there’s an apology heartfelt enough to make me give a **** about anything else they ever have to say.
Agreed, I liked the show and touched on so many points I agreed upon in modern identity politics and the terminally online crowd.
That being said…the flew oh too close to the sun on this one and deserve all the pushback that’s coming.

Who cares if you liked the show or not? Has nothing to do with this being an insane thing to post. F*ck them and, by proxy, their show.

god forbid someone talks about whether or not they enjoyed a show on a forum meant for talking about these things, but go off, queen!

This is, quite literally, a thread related to a specific anti Semitic social media post. Not the integrity or quality of the show. But go off queen!

ah yes, so we should chastise users posting in good faith for mentioning anything that isn't directly related. got it!

I wouldn’t say this is anti-Semitic, more an untimely and unnecessary attempt to poke fun at the type of person that would respond to this terrorism with “decolonize Australia.” I get the irony, but in this context I don’t really want to. I also respect anyone that finds this disqualifying or offensive. Oof. Bad marketing.
I have tickets to see this on Wednesday. I’m still going. (Jordan’s recommendation means a lot.)

And this is why you don't let the edgelord writer of the show run the social media account with zero oversight

Touch actual grass, drink some water and log off for a bit.
Their whole social media presence has maintained a very delicate satirical line but this is did cross that line very blatantly. I cannot believe they even considered this to be a wise move.
Its worth pointing out that the show was created by a Jew responding to what he perceived as an antisemitic blind spot in modern identity politics, though.

which is why its wild to see them fall headfirst into their own blindspot.
im not sure i understand what makes this *anti semitic* per se, but its surely distasteful, not at all funny/clever, and the sort of line-crossing that would NEVER be attempted re any other marginalized group. pretty gross.

boy that is certainly a list of...I guess you would consider shows?
I teach about the Holocaust for a living, and in my years of doing that I have seen a lot of misguided attempts at satire, to the point where I thought nothing left on earth could shock me.
This managed to do it. Absolute despicable to use the visuals they did in a marketing stunt, let alone the text they added to it.
