I don't get the big deal about this girl. Everyone on here is talking about, positive and negative.

I thought she was one of the weakest Sandys last night.

FYI: American Idol does the same thing and no one complains. Many of their contestants have extensive singing backgrounds, some with recording contracts, perform in bands, even have had recorded CD's prior to getting on the show.

BOTTOM LINE: It's fun to have a show like this that is BROADWAY related. You would think that would be enough on this board. Sounds like alot of bitter betty's around here.

Was Juliana the one who, in her "interview" montage in last night's episode, pointed out the room that she shared with her mom when they moved to California after her parents' divorce? If so, that newspaper article linked a few posts back kind of contradicts that story. The way the interview was edited for the show sets her up to be the rags-to-riches Cinderella story of the bunch. Which is fine, but it seems they are stretching the truth a bit.

I dislike her GREATLY. She doesn't seem much of a Sandy too me...maybe it's that she seems to "country"-ish to me, in my humble opinion, though.

I really don't liker her voice. I think she sounds like she's consiously immitating Sutton Foster's tone. That's the only way I can think of to describe what I don't like about her.

I could not even believe when I first saw this post that someone could be talking about THE Juliana Hansen!
I happen to know that the sweet girl that Juliana portrays on the show.... is just her. She is the sweetest person ever!! Not to mention that since I have known her (at the wee age of 13) her life has been preforming. She breathes singing dancing and is immensely artistic and creative.The boys in high school ALL had crushes on her. And, she was nice to all of them. Oh, and I do recall she was living with her mom and they were renting a room out of some elderly lady's house who still lived there. ( I wouldnt call that Beverly Hills style livin) She has definately worked hard to be where she is at. Constructive criticsm I understand, she is only 24 ( but WOW what a voice!!!) but all of this catiness is just obsurd. It's a shame that the passion of loving a show and preforming can be turned into something so nasty. It's a "reality show" do keep in mind. Good luck Juliana!! I know you will go far after this show!!

Didn't a director or someone tell Sutton Foster that she would never make it out of the chorus or never be good? Look where she is now...she has quite a few good leading roles under her belt and a Tony Award to top it all off.
