The entire SF cast is just amazing, and incredibly nice. I've never heard Betsy miss a note. Her voice is impeccable. <-------Me and Stanley after the show.
Here's a little bit of Bee trivia concerning Miss Rhona's other professions. When, Spelling Bee was at Second Stage in previews, Miss Rhona was actually a Mary Kay makeup rep. When, Olive does not speak up during f-l-a-g-e-l-l-a-t-e sequence, Miss Rhona walked up to her, but in addition to telling her to "stand like a champion, and pulling her hair off her face, she took out a blush compact and applied blush to Olive's cheeks. That turned out to be a very brief career.

I can't remember ever hating being on stage in any role. I may have disliked one or two of the revues I've been in (just bad song choices and overall cheesy-ness) but still had lots of fun doing them (Cruise ships are such a wonderfully cheesey way to make a living)
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"
Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
Wow, this is a little strange but I was browsing back through this topic was read lite2shine's short review on the SF show from their preview week. I found it pretty interesting so I thought I'd comment on it. The review was this:
"The tallest person in the contestants is Leaf(Stanley Bahorek ), and Chip (Aaron J. Albano) and William (Jared Gertner) are short. So Leaf doesn't look as vulnerable, and Chip doesn't seem to be "alpha male." I thought Logainne (Sara Inbar) was just as good as Sarah Saltzberg (but Inbar didn't say about "speech therapy" at the ending, is it omitted or she forgot?) but the actress who played Marcy was flat (off key) often during "six Languages" and I was wondering if she was having a cold."
For me, their heights (if anything) make some jokes work better. Such as when Chip's pulled around by Mitch and when Logainne has scenes with her fathers. I had noticed the "speech therapy" line was missing the first couple times I saw the show, but after that it was in. I guess they had cut it and then added it back later. As for Greta (Marcy) being off-key, honestly that's just kind of how she sings. It was strange the first time I saw the show, but now I really like it. She's a talented performer and I think her singing is cute. Anyway, there's my input on that stuff. :)
Interesting article. I'm really curious to see more photos from the show. I'm still kind of bothered by the visual changes but I probably just need to see more of it to get used to it.
Go when it's raining. Last time I went, it was raining and until the two drunks showed up (see the audience behavior thread), my friend and I were the only ones who rushed.
They're not publicizing the rush at all on the Post St. Theatre site, and I've never actually heard the box office mention it except when I was hanging around waiting for some friends.
