For anyone who still wanted to see Frances as the Adult Women she will be on through Monday of this week. Or so I have heard...again, little birds...they're everywhere...damned noisy birds.
Those pesky birds! Thanks for the heads up.
i just wanted to add my two cents on the krysta "reviews". I thought krysta was simply wonderful as wendla. i saw her monday evening and she had a few performances under her belt by then, but i had no qualms with her performance. her singing voice is naturally lower than lea's, but it added a new sense of excitement to the songs, as she could still hit all the notes beautifully. she was very satisfying as an actress and her performance all around was remarkable. i have seen lea do the role and i love her performance as well. but krysta stood on that stage and commanded attention and it was a treat to watch her.

Who is leaving the cast, has it been announced? Most people know anyway at this point, but I think the poster wanted to know if there were "official" statements. I think?
Wait are people talking about Remy and Gideon because I heard a while ago they were leaving early for college. If it is somebody besides them I apparently have no knowledge of this.
Hey! I want to join this thread if I can. I saw spring awakening 2 and a half weeks ago. I completely loved it. It is by far my favorite show!
Just look at their upcoming events for Spring on their myspace. Apparently the cast will be doing something on MTV.
Wow
I was there for Krysta's first performance as Wendla, I felt kind of special. She was great, especially since she was told 30 minutes before the show that she had to go on.
My comment is completely pointless, but I thought I would share.
Thanks for the clarification, "C is for company"
They haven't made any statements, so I was wondering. And it would make sense that someone is leaving if they are holding auditions and open calls.
Nobody is leaving anytime soon. I don't know why people are saying they are.
Kathleen Marshall and "that dude who won the Grese thing" at Spring Awakening. I really wanted to call him that for some reason.
here.
Awesome pictures Thanks Becoz!
I just found this totally random NYT article about Groff,Gallagher, and Sheik going bowling.

random question, fellow SA supporters.... but does anyone have any dirt on the newest cast members? Matt Doyle has joined the production, not sure what all he covers and was just curious. I haven't been to the show recently. I also see that there is a new understudy for the Adult Men.
I stopped by the theatre and purchased the souvenir program. Great deal for only $10. Very well designed, with a mix of pictures from the off-Broadway run as well as the Broadway run.

I know that Doyle covers Melchior, and I think some others too.
Has anyone here seen him? I think he has gone on a couple of times.

THREE Melchior covers? Groff hasn't even missed a show, right? Yet they add a third. Ha! I still want to see Jonathan B. Wright as Melchi, though I VERY much want to see Robi Hager and think it is a pity that Michael Mahany never went on when the show at the Atlantic... but Kudos to Jon Groff for showing up all the time.

broadwaugy2- who were the other atlantic understudies? john b wright doesn't understudy Melchior anymore, and I don't think Groff has missed a show yet.

He hasn't gone on in a role yet but sings in the ensemble in the stage seats. Mr. Wright doesn't understudy Melchoir anymore.

Ah. Too bad that Wright doesn't cover him any more. That would have been interesting to see.
At the Atlantic, roles only have on understudy....
Michael Mahany covered Melchior, Hanschen, Ernst, and Otto.
Brian S. Johnson covered Moritz and Georg.
Phoebe Strole covered Wendla and Ilse.
There was a female swing who covered the other girls, but her name escapes me.
Mahany was recently in High School Musical in Atlanta.
I REALLY want advance notice if Robi Hager goes on as Melchi.
