Aw man, I wanted to tell John to start preparing his acceptance speeches when I saw the show on March 23, but musta lost my nerve. He was the nicest guy and when he told a bunch of us that he'd had his first "somebody recongized me on the subway without my show hair" moment the day before, he seemed so amazed at it all. Get used to it John...you've earned it.
I saw Jonathan and Gideon the next night at the N/R/W subway stop at 49th St and they probably thought they had a stalker. I couldn't help but compliment them on the show and I don't know if their looks were shock at being recognized or just being freaked by this person annoying them on the subway.

Was it Jonathan Groff, Jonathan Wright or John G. you spotted on the N/R/W subway? Just curious, too many Jons.

and the John at the stage door, was, as the "stage hair" comment might suggest, was Mr. Gallagher.

Maybe this has been posted alreay, but just in case:
Lea is taking a vacation from Sunday to Weds. of this next week (4/8-11) and Krysta will be going on as Wendla for each performance. So if you're looking for a way to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior...
Just thought y'all would like to know. I will doubtlessly be there at some point. She's great.

What an amazing show. The story line is so deep. I havn't been moved like that in a theatre for a long time.

i love this show so much. i was honestly a little worried about seeing it because i heard that it was overated and well...bad. i went in the theater trying to to have too high of an expectation just incase it was true that it was a bad show. Good news...it was the best show iv seen and ive seen quite a few. The music is so new and the lyrics are so beautiful. I am recomending it to everyone. im seeing it again soon. yay groff and gallagher are so talented. i also love lauren pritchard. they were so nice to me at the stage door and i cant wait to take another pic with groff.

I am embarassed by how emotionally connected to this show I am. I hope it goes away soon. I really hate being reduced to tears after hearing even a single bar of a song.

What's the deal with standing room tickets?
Could I call the box office and buy some or do I need to go in the morning to the box office and buy them?
Oh and keeping with the thread "This show f***ing rocks!"

I'm going into the city tomorrow and am going to try to get tickets to the show. First time seeing it. Yay! Is it pretty easy to get a ticket to the show that day of, without getting there super early?

ILoveMyDictionary-I can't say how rush will be since a lot of schools are on spring break this week, but I've never had a problem getting a ticket at TKTS. Good luck and I hope you have a good time!

I cant wait to see it again. How is krysta? Has anyone seen her as Wendla. I know she's been on recently...right? Please let me know just in case I see her. O, and how was her chemistry with Groff? Let me know when you get a chance. Thanks.

Rush wasn't bad at all this saturday. Actually was fairly empty. I got there at 9:05 and there were maybe 25 people there. Lobby didn't even fill up at 10.

I saw the show for the first time last night and loved it. It was the most powerful show I've ever seen, and it got pretty intense. When it ended I stood up from my seat and I was shaking slightly. Frances was on as the Adult Women and I thought she did a fine job. I wasn't dissapointed. I stagedoored afterward and the entire cast was so nice. John Gallagher would probobly stay there talking with you all night if you wanted.
I really want to see it again, this time hopefully sitting onstage. There was so much going on at a time, and too much to take in at once, you need to see it again, just to absorb it all.

ILoveMyDictionary -- Caitie and I were there last night too - way up in the balcony - but WOW what a show. We LOVED it -- great music, great performances - the book is a little shaky in parts, but not so much that it distracted from how strong a show it is. I wouldn't say I loved every song (and some DO sound similar to each other), and I wish that it wasn't as graphic as it is so that it can have more of a regional life eventually (and I could take my students to it - the show doesn't NEED to be as graphic as it is), but it was still a very enjoyable night at the theater.
