So I went to the box office today and tried to purchase front row seats, but they told me that front row was premium and cost 200 and some odd dollars. (Knowing there had to be some catch I was able to get side front row for a discounted price) Is this premium price for the center seats new?
yes the front row seats were boosted to premium price when the reviews came out. i bought a pair the day they were released the day before the first preview and bought another one(for tomorrow yay!)right when i got home lol. sucks that they are premium. i wish they made the front row for the lottery.
I'm happy with my front row side seats. 2 weeks ago, and again in August.
I lottoed it today and...I...WON.
You guys don't understand, I have the worst luck in the world at things like this and I actually WON!! I am seriously still in shock that out of the 80-ish people there, my name was called. The show was incredible...after tonight, I'm convinced it's the best show on Broadway right now.
Yay congrats!! And I think it possibly is the best show also.
This video is so great! Sasha Allen is so funny!

ahhh! went to the show today. sat front row seat 112 and somehow got even more cast interaction then the first time i sat front row. it was funny because i started talking to this guy and he made me feel ok that i have seen it only 7 times lol. he said he has seen it over 20 times all from the front row. i thought i was bad lol. not that i'm saying that's bad. that's kind of a dream for me lol. he switched seats with the person who sits in the seat where Berger asks for change because he wanted to give him a $100 bill and he did! it's cool but i wonder if Will Swenson gets to keep that money. hmm..
on a very exciting note, during electric blues Jackie Burns picked me out of the audience to dance with her in the aisle! it was awesome! i love her lol.

I'm guessing that whatever money they get is donated....probably to BC/EFA. Or to the collective coffee fund!
I cannot imagine how this cast must eat. They burn SO many calories a performance; they must be famished!
Well, I gave in and got tickets for June 9th. This will be my 5th time seeing it at the Hirschfeld, my 10th time including the park. It never gets old!
This has become my, "When you come to NY we have to go see.......!" show.
We saw it last nice & found it thorughly enjoyable.
It almost resembled a Cirque show with all the performers all over the place. Will Swenson as Berger was a rip. Last night,he said asked for some money (jokingly) to someone in the front row. That person in turned propositioned him & there was some banter back & forth. We were sitting upstairs and at one point, he and others came up & he stood on a railing not a foot from us.Mrs R was enjoying herself I must say
The nude scene, shocking years ago, is now no longer shocking. A couple in front of us got up and left during the scene where the draft cards were burned . They never returned.
With Guys & Dolls & Pal Joey having no shot at a Tony it comes down to this & WSS. We have not seen WSS but will hazard a guess and say this will win revival.
If someone had told me that in a year with Guys and Dolls and WSS that Hair would be my favorite revival, I'd have told them they were NUTS. But alas, that's how it is.
Hair was a blast. What a wonderful EXPERIENCE. Tons of fun. Definitely the best revival of the season.
I agree TalkinLoud. I always tell people that while West Side Story IS my favorite musical, score and plot wise, THIS current production of Hair compared to WSS's current production is uncomparable.

I have a friend that was in the mezz all the way to one side. She loved it. I think the production did a great job in making sure everyone is involved no matter where in the house you are.
While I am happy with my front row again, if I go a third time...I'd prefer a little further back, but on an aisle. I'd like to be able to "take the whole thing in".
