well I have been listening to it non stop and cannot wait for the physical release!
and I'll ask my questions here because I know yall know :)
1) so I just bought a ticket for row S, seat 111. how is the view? I sat somewhere in the Mezz for Curtains and remember seeing everything but it wasn't row S. any problems?
2) they do come out the stagedoor after the Saturday Matinee, correct?
3) I heard some of the people come to the Mezz and dance. Do you know who usually does? Gah thanks! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to see this!
1)Good view. I stood in the very back and the view was great. 2)Yes, they pretty come out after every performance. 3)I remember seeing Gavin,Will,Jackie,Bryce and Nicole. Those are the ones I remember, but I know alot more come up.
Listened to some of the tracks from the new recording! Sounds INCREDIBLE.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.
"Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."
rokyerhartout, they are playing on the official site's "Hair Radio" streaming radio station, interspersed with tracks from other recordings of the shows, covers of the tunes and songs of the era.
Gavin sounds amazing on the cast recording. Better than all the clips I've seen. I'm not thrilled with the way "Let the Sunshine In" goes all quiet at the end. The reprise makes up for it, but it's not as energetic. Updated On: 5/20/09 at 07:59 PM
Yeah. I sort of see how it's staged with the rehearsal video on the website so it looks like it might be really effective in performance, but without the visual it's slightly confusing and anti-climatic on CD.
I'm digging "I Got Life". I like how it has that little bit at the end that I've never heard recorded before. There's a lot of little pieces of music that have never been recorded before.
I pretty much love it, but I'm used to listening to the European tour cast recording which had different vocal arrangements so "Sodomy" isn't as exciting vocally and I miss Adam Lambert's "My Conviction", but other than that this recording is pretty superb.
As I'm on the West Coast, I've yet to make the pilgrimage to NYC this year to catch the show. For those who've seen it, can you help me out with a little info?

from Mr Roxy: "I have not been around the area where it was but does anyone know if the building that housed"Cheetah" is still there. If so, what is it now?"
This is right around the corner from me. The building was taken over by a company that rented out sound systems and equipment for large-scale events (S.I.R. - Studio Intrument Rentals) but was torn down about three years ago. It was totally bizarre watching it come down, roof first, then front walls, so you could see the interior space.
A luxury high rise (a skinny tall building) was built, which is now open.

When I went at the beginning of May, Cassie was out too, and we saw Jackie Burns. I thought she was phenomenal, and I'm secretly kinda sad she's not going to be on the cast recording. :)
