LOVED IT...I sat on the aisle and got a be in leaflet and I got a hug and kiss from Will Swenson...I have to go back and see it again...show was sold out...almost a row full of people came in after Aquarius and Will stopped and thanked them for coming but informed them they were late and missed the first song which was a shame cause she sings the sh*t out of it. Also after itermission about 3 women were late coming back to their seats and Will and Bryce trapped them and wouldn't let them pass until they had a group hug

Yeah, that's a good side. Will spends a lot of time on that side. (at least that's what it seemed like...I was on the other side on the aisle, and we got no Will lovin', except for the spare change guy.)

There was an empty seat next to us tonight in the center of row F. Will walked across the armrests and nestled in and played with my friends hair, hugged and snuggled with her for a good length of time. Needless to say she was in love with him for the rest of the show.
When the time came for him to sing Pyschodelic Stone Age he did walk across the armrests down the center of the orchestra to the sage. So, you don't necessarily have to only be in an aisle seat.

Has there always been the "AmEx seating" choice as a choice for HAIR tix on Telecharge?

I've been playing around with a few dates in August that I'm considering, and it seems that "AmEx seating" (for the normal $122 full ticket price, I'm not talking about "premium" seating here) will get you seats on an aisle, vs regular seating will not, ie:
date #1: AmEx seating M2, or regular seating L105
date #2: AmEx seating M1, or regular seating N109

Is aisle seating being "AmEx seating" a new thing? Or is this just coincidence that I can only pull up aisle seats with AmEx seating on these dates?

So, you don't necessarily have to only be in an aisle seat.

I see. You just have to shoot the person next to you to make sure the seat is vacant. Got it.

Hey, whatever works. You can tell the person next to you to take a bathroom break. That happened to a girl who was sitting across the aisle from me. When her mom came back to her seat from an emergency bathroom break she found Shelia and Berger dry humping in her seat.

I read on the previous page that somebody said that Gavin Creel was going on vacation some time in August. Does anybody know during what weeks in August specifically because I already purchased tickets to the August 19th show as a birthday gift for my sister. She's a big fan of Gavin's and will be disappointed if he's not there.

Also anybody Right Orchestra Row C is a good spot for cast interaction?

I saw the matinee Friday! Now I absolutely have to post in the love thread b/c I love this show! I think this production is one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. Such energy, such beauty and talent!

My bff and I had front row seats, so that helped make the show incredible for me. I got to be the one who, when Gavin Creel is passing out daises says, "Woa, I go to go, will you finish handing these out for me?" and I thought- I'd do anything for you!

If anyone reading this thread is thinking of going to see this show--go right now and see this show!

I was at the show friday too! It was great. The mezz middle of the rear mezz was kind of empty so all us rear mezz people were told by Bryce to move down. He was so fun about it! Not the same as when I first saw the show from the front row, but it was still a great experience!

I saw the show Friday night for the second time. The cast was on fire! They have so much energy. I went on stage at the end of the show. It was so amazing being up there, letting loose, and just dancing around with a bunch of strangers and the cast. I think I'm going to try to go back this weekend. My sister really wants to see the show now. :)

I am going to try to get standing room on Wednesday for the matinee. Should I just go when the theater opens or should I try the lotto and if I lose get standing room?

Do sometimes let you get tickets if it isn't fully sold out?

Just got the cast recording for my birthday and adore it. Definitely saving my money so I can see this.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Autographed Hounds of Broadway - Claude from Hair

Each year at Broadway Barks, one-of-a-kind stuffed dogs that are signed by the casts (and in some cases, decorated by the wardrobe departments) of some of Broadway's hottest shows are auctioned to raise money for the Picasso Veterinary Fund of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.

Here's your opportunity to own an Autographed Hound of Broadway from among some of Broadway's most popular shows and at the same time help NYC's homeless animals! Some of the 20 shows represented are All My Sons, Billy Elliott, Blithe Spirit, Equus, Hair, Hairspray, 9 to 5, South Pacific, West Side Story, and more. There is also a special hound honoring Broadway Barks, signed by founders Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore.

Hair, the Tony Award-winning musical for Best Musical Revival of 2009, is playing to standing room only crowds each day at the Hirschfeld Theatre. This show's hound has been signed by stars Gavin Creel, Sasha Allen, Allison Case, Casssie Levy, Darius Nichols, Bryce Ryness, Kacie Sheik, Will Swenson, and the rest of the talented cast. It also comes with its own wig, fringed vest, flower power patch, "love" necklace, and headband designed by the talented wardrobe staff: John A. Robelen III, Ginger Blake, and Danny Koye. This great little dog named Claude will "Let the Sunshine In" at your house if you are the lucky winning bidder.

^ While I understand how you feel....you can't set yourself up for that kind of disappointment. Odds are that he will be there and in full form -- espescially since he has vacation only a few weeks away. (When I'm there, naturally, but I've already seen him and will see him again.)

If the unthinkable happens and he IS out, you've got to keep an open mind about the experience (and Hair IS an experience) to still enjoy it. Putting too much importance on one actor can ruin the whole show.
