^Yes, Jay is awesome
REALLY awesome. I mean Gavin is still Gavin and he's all kinds of brilliant, but Jay is such a cutie, and his voice actually sounds a lot like Gavin's. Aka, it is gorgeous!! :)
I talked about this back when I'd first seen the show and it was his first time on as Claude, but my mom and I totally have this cosmic thing with Jay haha. First we see him in Hairspray in Weston, VT and meet him there. Then we end up standing next to him for Marissa Perry's opening night in Hairspray on Broadway and we rock out the whole show together. Then we completely by happenstance end up seeing Hair for the first time on the day he first goes on as Claude!! We hadn't even had a clue he was in the show at all! Craziness. So yeah, he's awesome. And so ridiculously uber sweet <3 (but then that's pretty much the whole Hair cast! hehe)

Posted: 6/28/09 at 10:58pmI just got tickets to see Hair on Fri mat. I am so excited to bring my friend from Pittsburgh! The first time I saw the show I was by myself, though fun, its just not the same without someone else to share the LOVE with. :)

Posted: 6/28/09 at 11:06pmAnyone do standing room for the show? Do they always sell it even if it isn't sold out? I might try to get standing room for the mat on Fri.
ticket advice#607
Posted: 6/28/09 at 11:15pmI'm also going to try to get tickets for friday. Wondering if it will be less crowded because it's an added show, or more crowded because not all shows are doing a matinee.

Posted: 6/29/09 at 10:19amWas at the 3pm show on Sunday! My best friend and I had so much fun... she embarrassed me greatly though LMAO (go check out the Gavin Creel thread for the story) Everyone was awesome Saycon went on for Sasha Allen again and she was great. Gavin had a little mess up during "Manchester, England" and it was adorable. When he went to introduce himself, he forgot to put on the British accent. He made a face and started the line over LOL We went up on stage after the show and by bf played with Will's hair. Theo Stockman, Allison Case and Bryce Ryness were were really sweet after the show and I got a hug from Kacie Sheik. Was a great day overall.

awww, I was hoping to catch both of the Claude u/s (Paris Remillard is also going on) during Gavin's vacation, but I'm going to be out of town.
Was there for Steel Burkhardt's first show as Berger last Thursday, and he was fantastic. Not quite as...hyper, I guess, as Will, but made the character his own. Messed up one line, but covered nicely. Also had a great voice.
Standing room is great, the view is perfect. They don't sell unless the show is sold out or close to selling out, but I think the last time they didn't sell standing room was a couple of weeks ago, so it should be fine. I know last week there were a couple of days when people lined up to get standing room when the box office opened.

Posted: 6/29/09 at 11:47amDoes the SRO sell out quickly?
Let The Sunshine In#617
Posted: 6/29/09 at 12:23pmI've had the box office tell me SRO was sold out by 10:30 that morning, but I've also bought it after lotto. It all depends on the day.

I was at the Sun Mat, first time seeing it. I am now quite obsessed with the show, and cannot wait to see it again.
So happy I went up on stage to dance. I was right next to Allison, she was so nice. :)
Def going to try to get lotto or SRO tickets to see it again!

Hey guys,
I created a thread about this but I also wanted to venture into the official HAIR thread to ask for some help.
Backstory:
I live way out of town and had to book a trip with flight, hotel, etc. to come see HAIR on Oct 11th. That show got cancelled. I was on the phone for hours today with telecharge and other ticketing and ended up getting seats for Oct 10th 8pm now. However I read that someone said that show (Oct 10th) may also be cancelled. Is this true? Don't you think they would of cancelled it when they cancelled Oct 11th. Also - isn't a whole weekend of cancellation a bit much? I don't know what to think?
What I am asking all you fans who live in the city or near and attend it frequently or planning to see it soon... could you please find out at the stage door or wherever what the deal is? I really want to knwo if October 10th 2009 8pm will be cancelled. And if it isn't cancelled, will Gavin be out that night (IE: at the march on the 10th and 11th)? I can only contact Telecharge and they will give me the generic answer and they didn't even know why it was being cancelled.
If anyone could do this for me I would be so grateful. Any help is appreciated.

AH! Finally I have computer access :)
I saw the matinee on Saturday and Saycon was on for Sasha. she was SO GOOD! Everyone was phenomenal, no complaints
And Allison was SUCH a sweetheart at the stagedoor! Nothing really to say, I was so speechless after seeing the show.

Posted: 6/29/09 at 10:13pmI saw Ryan's first Berger and he wasn't really that bad. I rather enjoyed him. He's not like Will an he puts his own take on the character, but I rather enjoyed him. I'm sure he'll only get better as he continues to play the role.
