The greats of yesterday were indeed great. But this list contains some fantastically talented, brilliant performers.

And being on Broadway or not shouldn't be a deal breaker. Some of the most brilliant actors have never been on Broadway. Believe it or not, Broadway is not everyone's goal or measure of artistic success.

Voting is over. Thanks to alll who voted, even the ones who didn't read the rules and kept voting for performers that had already recieved five votes. I'm deciding to be nice and count all the ballots that were submitted after the deadline.

Here's what's going to happen now. I am now working on the bracket, and will post it when finished. Each night I will post which two rounds are taking place (say, Audra vs. Sherie), everyone will vote, and the next night I will update the bracket and post the next rounds. In the event of a tie, the round will continue into the next night.

Say the rounds are:

Alice Ripley VS. Audra McDonald
AND
Sutton Foster VS. Kristen Chenoweth.
