I know it's not possible with Fun Home still going strong, but this would be great in Circle On The Square based on what I have heard so far about the show.
Also, Studio 54 is probably going to be available once She Loves Me wraps up its (still) limited engagement in June, unless I missed the announcement about extension/another show which will claim the space over the summer?
>>>>"Sigh. I may never fully comprehend that out of all the shows Papermill produced last season, they plucked Bandstand for Broadway (which seems to have gotten tepid reviews) over the glorious Hunchback. Well, I wish it the best anyway!"<<<<<
I am in total agreement with that. LOVED Hunchback there. Found Bandstand only a step above a bore and needing lots of work. Hope they do major reworking.
How why would it fit in at The Circle in the Square?
The name alone is a bore. But it sounds like something that'd do okay regionally.
Not sure how well this show would work in a in-the-round theater like the Circle In The Square. I didn't feel like it's the kind of material that would profit from that. I'm sure they could make it work if that was the only available theater, but I feel like they'd want a bigger theater too. Circle only has 600 something seats, and this is a show with a big cast. I image they'd struggle to make profit there...
Studio 54 is not an option. It's a Roundabout Theatre and I highly doubt they'll rent it out to another show for an open-ended run. An Act Of God was an exception because it was a limited run they could put in there between shows.
With the Longacre open and the Barrymore opening up in September, I'm surprised they haven't tried to grab ahold of one of them. I'm actually surprised nothing's been announced yet for the Longacre.

so the Shubert, Longacre, Barrymore, Fontanne are already taken up this fall. I doubt its going into the Cort. Where could The Bandstand possibly go?
I thought I saw somewhere that Motown is just a long tour stop here through November. I could definitely see Bandstand going to the Nederlander after that.

Did anyone really think this was happening?

Just check how well viagra stock is doing.
The title alone is a bit banal. And with A Bronx Tale coming it, I'd think they wouldn't want to two competing Papermill properties. Does Papermill have any money in A Bronx Tale? A la the Public and Fun Home/Hamilton/Eclipsed?

Ha, in another topic someone else also said they have friends who know producers or something and that it's definitely coming.
Paper Mill said in the Tony's press room that Bronx Tale is further in development that Bandstand. They didn't say it wasn't transferring anymore. We shall see. I loved it and would love to see it again and am dying for a cast recording as well.

They took their pictures for it and everything. Maybe the Broadhurst.

The Front Page has the Broadhurst. What does taking pictures have to do with anything? It doesn't.
I constantly get this confused with The Bandwagon. which would be more exciting.
