I did find it very weird that Arden was so cagey about the extremely obvious coming out message in "Superhero" in that interview with Vulture. Even the interviewer was incredulous about how Arden was trying to spin it. How show handles Sam's perceived queerness isn't exactly empowering- it's more or less consistently a running joke.Choosing to lean into it for Pride seems a little... opportunistic, I suppose."

oof. Nolan deserves the same volume in the mix as Bean. Uneven.
