Feels like magical thinking at this point, maybe right now more than ever. On the same morning when several Major League Baseball games have been canceled due to 14 players and coaches on the Miami Marlins testing positive only 3 days into the season, on a morning when Google just became the first company to announce that due to the pandemic it will keep all 200,000 of its employees working remotely through summer 2021, till "at least next July", and on a morning when 31 states are on the restricted order for 14-day quarantine after entering or re-entering New York, it seems a strange and surprising move to put tickets back on sale, quietly or not, for a Broadway show that would need to begin rehearsals in about 6 months.

I guess everything really does depend on a vaccine - and if an effective one is introduced and readily available in the next 4 or 5 months then maybe this gamble might have proved to be worth it. But since that still seems improbable, it's hard not to feel like Telecharge and Scott Rudin will have caused themselves a world of hassle in refunds by not just waiting a few more months and seeing how things shake out by the end of 2019.

The only reason I'm going is for Sutton Foster, I couldn't care less about seeing Hugh. I think I will wait until his vacation is scheduled so I can pay like 75% less that week. This seems so far away, hard to get excited about it.

Tickets are open for sale once again.

I got a pop up months ago when was looking at tickets that told me that general sales would reopen like July 27th or 28th, which was easy to remember cus my Birthday is tomorrow and I thought "Wow right before my Birthday."

So yeah! Tickets are still pricey but there are now a sprinkling of $99 seats back open upstairs for some shows. I actually got them for my birthday NEXT year and they really are not that bad. And I feel like I looked previously at seats that were worse then these that were twice the price. So snag the $99 seats while you can before they mark them up again.

Out of curiosity, I checked the date I have tickets for (I'm one of the people who had a post-opening show that is now a preview). I had bought a $287 ticket for a Saturday evening (and a $99 ticket for the same Saturday's matinee). The seat next to me (closer to center) is currently available for $499. I cannot imagine a scenario in which two seats right next to each other are so drastically different in view as to justify a $200+ price difference. That is insane to me.

I feel this. I definitely hesitated on getting them since service fees are not refunded. I am already out a lot on cancelled tickets from service fees alone from the last few months and the next few. I could buy a whole other ticket from that money alone. But $99 is not a chance I am likely to see again. And if the show gets moved again, I'm now *in* for a reschedule should it happen again so you know... only gonna be out the money if the run is totally cancelled, right? RIGHT?! *Nervously laughs*

Telecharge always refunds the service fees.

So weird... my Ticketmaster charges have always been refunded in full, including fees, for canceled concerts etc. in the past, and for some C19-related cancellations this past April.
