yeah, both times i met him he did seem a bit reserved. it made me love him even more! cant wait to meet him again in a couple weeks! lol. that'll be my 3rd time seeing it.
I haven't seen Spamalot, but that "somebody swallowed it?" joke was horrendous. If all the jokes in the show of that caliber, I'll cry if it wins Best Musical.
And Sara Ramirez is doing a good job, especially since she's sick.
how sweet cherry thanked sarah by her character name
If you really want to help the American theater, don't be an actress, dahling. Be an audience.....
Don't be taken in by the guff that critics are killing the theater. Commonly they sin on the side of enthusiasm. Too often they give their blessing to trash...
Tallulah Bankhead
I know Bill Irwin is not that HOT name on any of the threads, but I am so glad. As Broadwaydannyc said, he is the greatest clown and vaudevillian alive. I love his work. I thought O'Byrne would win, but I am so glad Bill won
I hope you enjoy it Scoundrel! I'm going to try for the lottery on Tuesday to give Norbert some post Tony support (That would be my 6th time, if the lottery gods are with me)
I don't know what to think of Spamalot. I need too see it for myself. DHP Is enough motivation, though. And Sarah sounded incredible...I can't believe she's sick.
Sorry to be "that person," but other than Ramirez that performance was pretty run-of-the-mill. The choreography was more simplistic than most high school productions and the harmonies were nothing special. I'm not going to judge the show as a whole based on that one performance, but that was pretty boring.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
That was hilarious. I can see why Sara walked away with her Tony. Her joke-like riffing on the song was on the money. It lookslike a funny show. I would definitely give it a shot.
Spamalot was ok. Sara was good... but that's about it. The choreography was very... I don't know, it seemed like they should be dancing to a completely different kind of song. I was a little disappointed that Tim Curry sort of just sung-spoke his stuff...
Why my parents loved this show, I'll never know. I guess to someone who never sees theatre, it's pretty good, but it fails to excite me.
