Everything resumed months ago. Sitcoms have at least 6 episodes in the can and start airing their new seasons starting this week (THE CONNORS, THE GOLDBERGS, BLACK-ISH, etc). DANCING WITH THE STARS has been airing live for weeks now and talk shows have returned to in-studio shows for weeks. Yes, with modifications but production has resumed months ago. IN THE HEIGHTS would have completed any post-work months ago as well. We’re in mid-October now and sitcoms started up production in July.

Posted: 10/26/20 at 8:19amthe movie would have been so much more groundbreaking if they cast dark skinned afro latinos in leading roles. this type of representation is rarely seen and it needs to be in the forefront. washington heights is a mostly black latinx neighborhood and the casting should have reflected that more.

All this was discussed, dissected, debated and covered in full about 21-22 pages ago on this thread. Where ya been, gurl?

The film was just rated by the MPAA. That means it's locked and ready to go.

Love both trailers. The second one really got me, though. I can't wait for this.

Both look so good. I actually saw a DIFFERENT trailer when I went to see Raya and the Last Dragon this week. I wonder if they'll release that one.

Did anyone notice that “turn up the stage lights” from the opening number became “...street lights”? Makes more sense given the change of medium.

Kinda makes sense, no?
I loved all three trailers. I lived in WaHi for four years, so this is so exciting!

I grew up in Washington Heights and it was surreal to see that Usnavi’s bodega is on Audubon and 175th St. I went to grammar school for eight years on this block so watching that trailer brought back many neighborhood memories. Can’t wait for this.
