I for one am very excited about this movie! Anna Kendrick sounds better than I thought she would. Excited to see the whole movie!

Glad to see this separated to another thread (instead of just on the film fest post.) Was going to also do it, but I know some get their panties in a bunch about new posts.

That said, looks decent -- still guardedly optimistic.

One of my initial impressions is that Jeremy Jordan may make it difficult to dislike Jamie.

What a great trailer! The movie itself is stunning... I saw the premiere at TIFF back in September and was blown away. It is, for my money, one of the best movie musicals ever made.

"Coming soon" is unsettling, but it does look well made. I'm hoping it is released soon.

That's a very vague release date of "in 2015" and "Coming Soon"

ucjrdude902, the show is sung through but I take it they've added a great deal of dialogue to make it play better as a film.

As far as I've heard, the release date is still set for Valentine's Day.

The article linked in the first post of this thread clearly states "The film is due out Feb. 13."

A Google search for "The Last 5 Years movie release date" will yield the same information.

Nothing 'unsettling' and not a reason to be 'cautious.'

Plus this is also the trailer done by the UK distributor, so they might not have a UK release date yet.

The US distributor has announced the release date at February 13th.

I've always loved the charactor of Jamie more than whiny Kathy. I really dislike Anna Kenrick but Jeremy Jordan sounds great. I think it's on VOM within the same week as the theatrical release.

This trailer eases most of the worries I've had about this film. It's definitely a well-edited trailer. I think Anna sounds better than Jeremy, though. Can't wait for Valentine's day! It's my boyfriend's birthday though, so I probably shouldn't make him watch something so depressing that day.

Yes, it goes to VOD the day it's released to theaters. It's not going to be a wide release, as many have guessed.
