Without MargoChanning, this Message Board would almost be as sorry a place as Broadway.com is without Ken Mandelbaum...

What's not to love about Margo? She's the board librarian.

I have nothing clever to contribute. I just wanted to pipe in with my two cents that Margo is the best thing about BWW, hands down.

At night she (he) turns into bat girl (or bat boy!). Haha

I heart Margo!
Always progressively diplomatic and spot on.
Smart, talented, fun to read.

Adding my total respect and awe at Margo's thorough, reasoned and well written reviews.
In fact, I consider the rave review Margo wrote for our show "The Big Voice" back when we were playing at the NYMF to be one of the highpoints of my career! A rave from Margo!! WOO HOO!!

I read Margo with great interest, but he/she is also human with his/her own biases and need to be "the smartest & prettiest" from time to time. She/He should write a book about his/her experiences in the theater.

Really? I heard he/she bears a striking resemblance to Amanda Plummer.

Hmm, the pics he/she sent me look nothing like her.

Add one more to the Margo Channing Fan Club. Also, I second the emotion of one poster who asked that Margo collect her reviews and related theatre pieces and make the rounds of publishers. I'd buy this book and recommend it to all my theatre-loving friends. Margo, if you need a consulting editor, let me know, I'm an academic in English and Film Studies and would do this as a labor of love!

Adding to the Margo worship. He always supplies very informative and non-condescending posts. When I was a newbie way back when, I always gravitated and appreciated MC's insight. (And still do for that matter!)

Woot! I think Margo has answered every one of my crazy questions and then some!
"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too."
