i love the obcr the whole, listening to it non stop. cant wait to see the show again. mandy and christopher sound so lovely together, fantasic. i wouldnt mind seeing either mandy or krysta as nina, they both wont let you down.
I really want to go on the 17th, but logistics (and reality) are making it somewhat impossible. I, too, have been listening to the OCR constantly!! Makes my 3 mile walk to work all the more pleasant.

Does anyone know the difference between the three "single" versions of When You're Home, In the Heights, and It Won't Be Long now on iTunes compared to the actual CDs three tracks? Do I have to buy all three?
Ok.... IN the Heights and Ghostlight Records Have made a HUGE FAUX PAS!!!!
They've Scheduled the In the Heights Cd signing at Virgin in Times Sq the Same EXACT Time and Day as the CD Signing for South Pacific. Talk about really bad business practices. Many people who go to CD Signing typically are people who go to all of the cd signings. I know I'm one of those people. I love theater and I love cast Albums and Find this somewhat of a real DUMB move on their part. Also Typically I find that the Cd signings at BN are more Publicised and more organized as well. Why don't they just all do it there. SIlly SILLY SILLY. Just thought I'd mention it.
oh man, well in the heights is still my baby so that's where i'll be but still that's kind of weird.

Thanks for your help Anakela. Yes, that is exactly where I'm going. LOL! Hopefully I can win the "In the Heights" lottery. I really really want to see it. If not, I'll figure something else out.

Sometimes they offer 1/2 price rear orch seats, to those who don't win lotto- if they do and you decide to go that route I suggest not sitting any further back than row S, it just gets to be a little too partial view in my opinion. especially for a first timer.
Are they already sold out of $31.50 rear mezz seats? Because those you can buy ahead of time, so then you wouldn't have to worry about winning lotto. And, the lighting and dancing full-view from there is amazing.
I'll have to check out the rear mezzanine seats. I'll admit, I'm not a seat snob at all, as long as I can see. It might be better than paying for Standing Room Only at "Spamalot." I've actually already seen it anyway. I want to see it again, but I think I'll wait since their discounts aren't as good, and I wasn't able to pull up decent seats. Okay, maybe I am just a tad bit of a seat snob, but I would rather sit differently then where I sat the last time.

The Un Dia Mas vid.... um, as if I needed another reason to love Robin De Jesus. Amazing performance.
Anakela, I love that picture.... Janet's hair makes me jealous

I started crying today during "Everything I Know." But I think it's also because my grandma died recently and she kept everything that everyone gave her just like Abuela Claudia did.
Either way, it's been a while since I connected so much emotionally to a show.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

Sorry about your loss, Spork ! That song gets to me everytime as well, as does "Breathe"- I can releate to both-- my dad died when he was just 44, and I find myself always trying to remember everything he taught me. At the time that he died, I was going thru an absolutely horrible time at college.
I feel the same way-- relate to this show in so many ways !!
So, I officially decided to see this on my night in the city. :) I got rear mezzanine seats in Row F, seat 9. I know, it's off to the left, but I'm still excited. And it definitely is better than waiting for the lottery and possibly not winning.

I just watched the "Un Dia Mas" video too and I was laughing hysterically. Robin cracked me up and my sister kept giving me crazy looks because she didn't understand the Les Mis references and couldn't get the laughing.
On another note, I get really emotional during "Inutil" and the end of "Everything I Know." I'm going through college right now and the finances have been so hard on my family, especially with my brother entering college next year. It just reminds me of my dad and how I know he would do anything for my brother and I to be happy and get the education we need to succeed. I definitely started tearing up ion the car while listening the other day.
There are just so many ways to feel connected to this show...
