Thanks BlueforBroadway for the suggestion and giving me the honor of starting this thread...
With happy, rocking crowds every night, awesome reviews and a terrific cast and crew, this is the place to be to support all aspects of the gang at Dupree's Bourbon Room and the Venus Club.
"Rock of Ages" groupies, young and old...show your love here!
With a lighter in the air and a song in my heart,

i've been there twice.
and tho i don't love it...it is my immediate replacement for not having to XANADU to go to all the time. even though i feel it ripped off the pages of Xanadu's stage antics.....i do enjoy the music in ROA much better.
Woohoo! I love the show.
In fact, I am working on arranging to come back to see it again! I don't live in the NYC area, but I'm going to get back there in just a few short weeks if it all works out.
I saw two performances last weekend and I want more, more more!
I found this video on Broadway.com. The cast is all backstage. I love it!!

Seen it twice, brought my kids, lots of fun, going back again with friends soon. Rock on.
Time Out New York gave it a great review!
have you all see the broadway.com backstage video? Love Swensons interview.
The video is really fun and perfectly captures the spirit of the show.
I've seen it three times and I'm going back soon!
LOVE IT!!
Saw it 2x last weekend. LOVED it! Going back a couple 3x in November if all goes well. There are so many quirky characters in this show! And the music ROCKS! So much fun, so upbeat. And I love the audience participation. Stacie Jaxx sang to me and put his hand on my knee! lol And I got to dance with Franz! Yup...good times. Oh, and the wine coolers aren't bad either.....j/s.
I would like to add some love, for a rocking fun show. And Will can lick my face and slap my ass anytime! Rock on !
I bought tickets to four more shows! I have yet to figure out how I am going to get there, lol.
Where there's a Will (Swenson) there's a way...
*giggle*
Too easy a joke to pass up. I'm pulling for ya to get here, Blue!

Quick question. Why did they get a Jack Black impersonator as the narrator? What does he have to do with the 80's?
I really don't think the show's creators meant for the character to impersonate Jack Black, but his persona in films like School of Rock, High Fidelity, etc.
Mitch Jarvis does a TERRIFIC job of it, too!
Miss Lizzy
Mitchell is hysterical.
I bought another ticket for Nov. Does this make us Rock Heads?
Cute vid~

Metal Heads?
Band-Aids? (The show already used "Groupies" for the 10 or more groups that buy tickets - foo!)
Miss Lizzy
Oh, I don't know about Rock Heads. My boss thinks I have rocks in my head for coming back. I showed her the first page of my ticket receipts and she said, "Oh you're going again. That makes three times, right?" Then I said, as I flipped the pages of the rest of the receipts, "Three, Four, Five, Six." She said I might need an intervention. NO! She just needs to see the show!
No intervention needed, Blue...it really IS nothin' but a good time.
In these times we live in...in the words of Chicago's Hard to Say I'm Sorry (another classic 80's hit):
"Everybody needs a little time away..."
I just prefer to spend it among my fellow Metalheads at the Bourbon Room!
PM me and let me know the next time you're going, would love to meet up and do a shooter at intermission with ya!

Rock of Ages - Nothin' But a Great Time!
Constantine is going to be on Fox tonight.
Don't Forget the Lyrics. 8pm Eastern.
He just posted on his facebook to catch him on the show and to see his bad haircut. He said it grew back.
lol
No Can Do...heading back to Dupree's Bourbon Room tonight after all...10pm show...so you're going to have to sigh heavily (and giggle at his old haircut) on my behalf.
I'll hold up my lighter for you in return, Blue!

"Rock of Ages" - Nothin' but a GREAT Time!!
I am sure someone will have the video available somewhere. *virtual wink*
Have a blast at Dupree's!
Just got back from the show, and I dont ever remember having such a great time !!!!
This definitely takes away SOME of the sting of "Xanadu" closing.
The entire cast is great! The band amazing !! Was great seeing Weber on drums once again, since the "Hedwig" days.
Was surprised how much I liked Maroulis- knew he could sing, but his comic timing was excellent.
But Swenson just steals the show !
Perfect way to end a work week !
Just curious what the crowd was like for the 10PM show last night? The 7PM crowd was so into it, and theatre looked to be pretty full.
