I really can't imagine doing two shows back to back like that. How exhausting! And with so little time in between. I actually thought it was kind of amusing when the cast members who judged the first costume contest were wearing their "street" clothes. I mean, they probably just had to turn around and change again!
Dying to go back already. Had so much fun last night!
Just as Testing said, would love to know what Mary and Jackie thought of the show.
Ohhhh I know it should be...it I won't be surprised if it is VERY soon...but I still want to make sure people are directed to the show's official site. :)
Got it "renewed." ;] They allow you to use past dated tickets to get seats on another day, by calling and reserving a seat on the day of the show, based on availability.
So if any of you guys ever have extra tickets that you can't get rid of, go over to the box office. They're really nice there.
I haven't been to the show so many times as to be able to differentiate between the regular actor and the understudy when it comes to the less-major characters, but the show was great overall. They all played their parts well.
Tad Wilson was there instead of Mitchell Jarvis, so I still didn't get to see Mitchell (since Tad was there the last time I went too). Christopher Spaulding was in for Jeremy Woodard.
Monday! Unless anyone has some awesome extra tickets for Saturday night they'd like to get rid of.... (there are some further-back still available, but thought I'd check first lol) Been planning this one for a couple of months, but I don't know if I can be in the City for 3 days and wait til the end to get to RoA!
I'll look for you lizzy- I'm coming with some people from work. I almost went tonight after they gave us off tomorrow- but I cleaned the basement instead-LOL
I'll be there...looking forward to meeting you...and everyone here on BWW who stop by for a round at Dupree's Bourbon Room, the high temple of rock and roll kick a**ery :)
I didn;t realize that Mr Swenson was in the show until I read about it in the AMNY yesterday. I am very excited about getting a ticket soon. Going to STP tomorrow...so will probably have to wait until next Wednesday.
"The price of love is loss, but still we pay; We love anyway."
Oh, heavens, yes...Will Swenson plays the decadent, debauched rock star Stacee Jaxx...and as someone who has met many a musician suffering from "LSD" (Lead Singer's Disease aka raging egomania) over the years, I know that Will's performance is SPOT-ON. He's terrific!
I'm a bit envious...I think Jeremy Piven's the bee's knees...enjoy STP tomorrow!
Happy Wednesday, everyone! I'm heading back to ROA tonight and hoping to meet any BWWers in attendance. I love the energy of Wednesday performances as they cast has had a well-deserved day off and have mentaly refilled their tanks with loads of energy, ready to blow the doors off NWS Stage 1!
9 days to Conan...WOOT!
Any more guesses as to the song they're going to perform? I already have my front runner (mentioned earlier in this thread) but would love to hear from others who have seen the show.
Lizzy, I'm hoping to see the show in early Dec. I'm worried now to see 'Tale' is already closing. I was hoping to see that as well and I'm shocked to see it closing already. Is ROA going to still be there?
In early December? As Lonny would say in Act II..."Hells, yeah!"
I've already bought my tickets for December 1st and plan on a few more being bought when I get my next paycheck. :)
Sorry to hear of the closing of "A Tale of Two Cities" - given the joy in the country over yesterday's historic election results as well as the country's current financial problems, it is indeed "the best of times...the worst of times"
With Hairspray closing in January, perhaps Clarke Thorell would consider it. He *did* play Stacee Jaxx in the reading of ROA in March of last year (and I sat next to him at the press preview last month).
