Well, I actually think Curtains deserved Best Book, but I'm not upset about Steven Sater taking it. He did much more with the book than people think.
Well, actually, Dancing Thru Life, Spring Awakening is 4/6 so far.

If they can keep up the nice pace of the first half hour, this thing will fly by!

I wasnt impressed at all with that Curtains performance. It doesnt leave me rushing to the Theatre to see it.
The choreography- I didnt think it was that special - nothing I havent seen a million times before.
I dunno - I wasnt impressed. It was just ok

Too bad Doug Wright lost. If only Grey Gardens would win score! (Crosses fingers, prays, etc.) Please God! Please!

Aww yay for John Gallagher Jr.! He deserved his Tony. Spring definitely deserved the lighting award. The timing and amount used in the show is incredible!
BTW: Idina's dress is gorgeous

What a shock. Spring Awakening won Best Score.
Grey Gardens should have won.

Thanks UCJR!
I only know what I've just seen!
I wasn't cheering...just reporting.
Oh...It just became 3/3!

What's wrong with him? He sounds speshul.

And the navigators and their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes
While you stare at your books."

Does anyone else find Sater kind of creepy? It's also somewhat obnoxious the way he's working song titles from the show into his speeches.
And since they just announced it, YAY Mary Louise Wilson!

"Sater looks like a rubber mask. And he's totally obnoxious."
Well, he seemed slightly heartfelt in his thanks, but he does look like he's made of rubber.
Korie and Frankel would have given a better speech, but Mary Louise winning was a wonderful consolation prize. Hooray for her!
