That has already been addressed. The filming ended in March, on Campus means in the show not necessarily as Elle but apparently the runner up will get a role covering Becky's track as Ensemble/ U/S Serena & Margot/ first cover Elle, when she leaves.
I don't really care who wins but I do if I want the show to keep running smoothly. These will probably definitely be the Top 3. Updated On: 7/10/08 at 10:41 AM

Really because I talked to a friend of Autums agent at the TONYS and how he heard about and told Autumn to go to the audition and she didnt want to but it eventually paid off.
So now we've heard 100% Bailey won, and 100% Autumn won.
My question is...why in the heck would they be going through all this trouble for a 2 week contract? Do you think there is some sort of deal worked out that the winner will stay on as Elle if she gets good reviews? In the meantime, are they casting for a "real" Elle who will continue the role after this process is over?
The two week contract is an insurance policy in case the new Elle is horrible, or can't handle it. If the actress (whomever it is) shows up and the audience enjoys her, she'll be extended rather quickly.
Grease did the same thing. Laura and Max were only contracted two weeks, just in case sales don't do so well. Since the sales did go well they extended their contracts.
Also on Wikipedia is says Leslie Kritzer is coming back to play Serena again. Sorry if this has been mentioned before (I must have missed it if it has), but thats good news if it's true. She was great in that role!
Is there confirmation that the new Elle will be starting in late August rather than July?

Does anyone see any significance here? <http://www.kalamazoocity.org/portal/kzoolife.php?event_id=4935> Looks as though Lauren was in Hair in MI in June. Still, this doesn't seem to have any relevance to whether she wins or goes on tour. She might have slipped in this show after the TV show aired, but before rehearsals for her role in LBTM started.
i think she actually is starting in July, when she's suppose to. Not sure though! I heard she had her first rehearsal with the broadway cast today though. So it seems that the timing of a full cast rehearsal is about right with a july 23 start.
I'm from the same city in Michigan as Lauren, and my good friend and her daughter (who also watch the show) is certain she saw Lauren this afternoon shopping right here in town. The shopping area is a newish outdoor mall that everyone in the area frequents, so her being there would not be unusual at all. I didnt see her myself, but my friend was pretty certain it was her. Not sure what to make of it, but I'm new to the board and I just wanted to throw it out there with the rest of the speculation!
