For anyone who might have tickets to The Bedwetter or A Play is a Poem at Atlantic Theater, I was just checking their website for any updates and noticed they added the following message:
“The status of the remainder of our 2019/2020 season remains unclear at this time. The Bedwetter was scheduled to begin performances on April 25, but it has become clear that it will be delayed. However, given the ever-changing circumstances and guidelines, we are not certain how long that delay will last. As soon as we have determined when it is safe to open the show, we will contact all ticket holders and make arrangements for ticket exchanges, donations, etc. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience and grace; it is much appreciated.”
They also had a similar message for A Play is a Poem. At least it’s good news that they sound like are trying to reschedule the shows. I was hoping to see Adam Schlesinger’s work on The Bedwetter.
I received an email from St. Ann’s providing 3 options: -postpone and exchange when The Jungle reschedules their run -donate -refund
I appreciate their communication and the options they are giving and chose to hold on to my tickets for an exchange when it is safe to mount the production.
I also requested a refund for a pair of Audience Rewards tickets I bought for Diana after April 12. It took them 1-2 weeks to get back to me (understandably so) but processed the refund no questions asked.
Has anyone ever purchased a ticket through Ticket Club, a 3rd party site?
I, foolishly, purchased a ticket for Moulin Rouge for a Saturday evening, as i thought it was a good deal. However, since the shut down, every time i call Ticket Club they keep telling me they have no information that the show has been cancelled or postponed and cannot offer me a refund till they have more information. This has been going on for a month. I attempted to refute it with my credit card but Ticket Club claims it's a valid charge. Any thoughts?
Well wishes to everyone on the board during this trying time!
Just received an email from Moulin Rouge. 3 options given were to donate it, full refund, or an exchange for a better ticket and 25% cash back for a performance July-sept. Don’t live on the east coast so I ended up taking the refund. We will see when I get it. Still waiting for refunds from the public and roundabout.
Interestingly enough I was supposed to see a high school production of Les Miz in the Bronx last weekend, but they rescheduled to October and moved our dates accordingly. I didn't expect that!

Wow at the 25% cash back plus ticket upgrade? So for example, you could upgrade a Mezz ticket to Orchestra and still receive cash back? I may take a little gamble and buy show tickets for June 9th hoping this will happen again.
I know everyone is struggling equally from this. I get it. I really do. I’m just having trouble wrapping my head around donating your ticket cost to a commercial production (rather than the non-profits who operate on donations and memberships already). Maybe it’s just me...
Received this email from the Hudson. I was actually surprised given all the negative feedback on here about getting refunds from them.
We are writing to update you regarding your order for Neil Simon's Plaza Suite at Hudson Theatre.
Performances of Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite at Hudson Theatre have been suspended through June 7, 2020. Performances are scheduled to resume on June 9, 2020.
If you have purchased tickets to performances scheduled on or before June 7, 2020, a member of our team will contact you regarding your ticket order. Due to the high volume of affected patrons, it may take up to 30 days following your performance date for us to contact you. We appreciate your patience; rest assured, someone will get back to you. At this point, please consider exchanging your ticket to attend another performance of the limited engagement of Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite. Please find the link to our current performance calendar here.
Please note that Hudson Theatre’s physical box office is currently closed.
We hope you will join us for a future performance, and give our team – the wonderful cast, crew and staff – a chance to entertain you at the beautiful Hudson Theatre.
I got an email about SIX which offered two options: reschedule or refund. Fine, I chose refund.
BUT, I got an email from Ticketmaster about HARRY POTTER with my tickets randomly assigned to a new date in November with no option for a refund. Has anyone else experienced this with this or any other show? I can't believe the POTTER producers would be so ridiculous in a time like this. How could they just assume someone could make it any old time like that? Especially with the state of the world right now? Any advice?!?
I got an email from Ticketmaster about Lehman Trilogy telling me I can expect my refund in as soon as 30 days. I would call them about the Harry Potter change. That's not right at all.

The problem here is that even though they knew these performances were cancelled, they do not not contact you until the date of your show, so you’re waiting a month(s) for that call and then you have to wait another month for your refund. Totally unacceptable. For me who had 2 performances purchased and still waiting for my March show refund, now I have to wait on their call in May to start the process for that refund. In the meantime my credit card companies have charged me and I have paid them or it’s revolving and I’m being charged 13.6% interest. I understand their reluctance to refund money but they already knew these shows weren’t going to run. They have everyone’s order information, so refunding should not be an issue.
I received an email this morning from Audience Rewards regarding my tickets for "Jagged Little Pill" & "Mrs. Doubtfire" that I got through my points. Both tickets will be automatically refunded, points are put back into my account, and my credit card will be refunded. Nothing for me to do on my end.
Telecharge, Ticketmaster and all other theatres are being overwhelmed right now.
MCW1227, you can reach out to your credit card company to dispute the charges. They will place it on hold, and when the credit comes through, it will be removed. Make sure and inquire about all the accumulated interest. They will prorate accordingly. I've done it many times.
I apologize if this has already been asked, but how is Second Stage handling refunds? I had tickets to Take Me Out in May, and it's the only show where I can't find ANY info on getting a refund on their website (which I also find strange. I get they want/need the donation! But to have NO info on refunds at all seems... bizarre).

thank you, I will try but my March show tickets have been paid since last September, hopefully they will credit me the charge. In this time of lost wages, these credits become even more important and they should be refunding much quicker than they are. I’m sure I need the money more than the producers do.

I searched on their website too and it says that information about Take Me out will be coming soon. My guess they are still deciding what to do with it. Maybe push to the fall? Or next spring?
FYI, Telecharge is doing self-service refunds and exchanges on their website. Log in, go into “My Account,” then “Past Orders,” and click on the order number of your cancelled show. It will give you the option to exchange or refund your ticket(s). Also, if you exchange within the next 2 weeks, they're offering a discount.
I purchased a ticket in cash for COMPANY this week. I'm out in NJ and wasn't able to get to box office before they closed. Does anyone know if they will honor that ticket for a future performance, or issue a cash refund when the box office re-opens?

Just bumping the above info for anyone who missed my post last night.
I was scheduled to see "Chicago" in Sun. June 7 (evening perf). Telecharge contacted me, with the option of a refund or exchange. I opted for a refund, as I preferred to rebook at a future date, once we have a definite reopening of Broadway. I also emailed Broadway.com, with regards my tickets for "Phantom" (June 8) and "Moulin Rouge" (June 9th). They stated I would receive an email regarding a refund/exchange upon a further extension of the opening of Broadway.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
We have tickets for Beetlejuice for June 5 that were purchased at the box office. Since the show is officially closed as of the announcement yesterday and there is no option to get a refund at the box office will Telecharge process the refund if we email them with our order number on the ticket?
