Taylor Louderman would also totally kill this role. And it would be nice to see her a play a grown up for once considering she’s 30!

To be honest if the “mean girl” rumour is true I’d happily see any of the plastics play Jenna. I think Kate Rockwell would be the most interesting as it’s totally different to anything we’ve seen her do.

Erika, Taylor, Ashley, or Kate would all be excellent Jenna's in their own way. That's what is great about that role. It allows for so many different takes. Would love to see any of them.

As long as there's no Barrett Wilbert Weed. LOL.

we were right down in the front.. second row and tried to be polite.. i forced a smile and polite applause, but it was horrendous. I cant imagine why he was hired. i have never witnessed such a horrific performance vocally

Worth noting that Park already has the Bareilles connection (from "Girls5Eva"... if this is true, that would mean Jenna, Becky, and Dawn would all be played by WOC at the same time!

I find it interesting that they've added a little piano riff to the music before Jenna starts singing now. That was never there in the original run, and I thought there was something different when I saw Sara last month.

I’ve always loved that Jenna allows for so many different takes, depending on the actress, and it means that there’s always a perfect Jenna for someone. Luckily tptb have always chosen actresses who can sing the face off the score! Like for me, my absolute fave Jennas were Kat and Nicolette because I loved their nuanced, softer more beaten down Jennas, whereas other Jennas I still enjoyed but didn’t connect as well. Also imo no one sings WBCD as effortlessly as Kat. Other fans will have different experiences.

As for the mean girls rumor, If true I imagine it’ll be Ashley, given the Sara connection as the other poster mentioned. Also it’d be good free publicity given Emily In Paris 2 is coming out in Dec I think, and a lot of people will be watching that (or at least hate watching lol)! I’d be a little sad though because was hoping for a Nicolette and Leslie matchup

I was thinking this as well! Ashley will be promoting Emily in Paris soon. Also Taylor Louderman might be a possibility? As she is on Kenan on NBC.

I felt the same way about Jennifer that I did about Betsy Wolfe. I think she’s so good, and she’ll only improve throughout the run. She and Erich had such amazing chemistry, and “You Matter To Me” actually made me cry.

I will say “Never Ever Getting Rid Of Me” wasn’t the best, but “I Love You Like A Table” was a lot better! I think that performer will improve and find his groove as he goes more into the role. I also did actually find him funny. :) to each their own. But it is a stellar cast right now!

The Encores Into the Woods is not until May, so I would imagine rehearsals starting around late March - early April. Also, the second season of "Emily in Paris" wrapped filming a couple of months ago.

All this to say, I don't think Park will be super busy from November 25 to January 9, when the musical will end its limited engagement. Park is a Tony nominee taking on a Tony-nominated role, she already has the Bareilles connection as I already mentioned, and diversity will (and should) always win in 2021 and beyond; I'd take her over Henningsen or Weed any day.

It's not totally awful but why did they put Jennifer in a wig with such a harsh hairline? I bring it up because Jenna doesn't have a "look" that all the actresses stick to. She's already great. I hope she gets a chance to settle into the role in spite of her short run.

Personally, I prefer Jenna to have a lot of warmth, sass, and humor. There must be some reason people are loyal to her. I've seen very "sad" Jennas and while that approach works I like Jenna to have as I said, a spark.
