Thankful for this run as well. Do we think there could be one or two more Jennas? People have been saying the Jenna after Jennifer Nettles, then another one to close the show?

:) That’s a really interesting question. Hmm. But no. I think they’d have one more person-unless Tornsy does a week or something, but even then, I think it will only be one person End of November-January to close out the show. Have they ever done less than a month runs for anyone? ***Aside from the upcoming Pomatter swiitcharoo.

This I was wondering about, thank you! I heard people saying the Jenna after Jennifer, then possibly another one to close out the show? I was a little confused by this too. Sometimes, I wish they released the dates of each performer in advance though. (Sara, Jennifer, then the final Jenna)

If you don’t already know-they added another performance on the final day. The final performance is now January 9th (same day) at 7pm. There are still plenty of tickets available (I’m looking at Telecharge right now).
Joshua Henry as Dr. Pomatter and Tyrone Davis Jr. as Ogie beginning November 29!

Woah!
Josh Henry is SO overqualified for that role but I have no doubt he'll be great. Might have to see it during his run...

I sometimes wonder if the casting team reads these boards.
I was really hoping to see Erich, who I've been wanting to see onstage forever...but just a few week's ago I was watching Josh Henry on that Kennedy Center 50th Center and was thinking, "Man, we need him onstage again!" Too many choices!
Being right feels so good. What feels SO MUCH BETTER?! Is actually watching Joshua Henry perform this role. "You Matter to Me" will never sound better. So, so, so excited for this entire group of casting.

I was JUST thinking about how amazing he’s going to sound singing that song…*swoon*. I may have to return all my tickets to all other shows so I can afford to see them!
Can’t wait to buy a ticket for this. Joshua Henry will be brilliant and will sound like a dream. I’ve also seen Tyrone Davis, Jr. go on as Ogie and he’s wonderful. His “Never Getting Rid of Me” brought the house down.
Great casting over at Waitress.

“Perfect” may get thrown around too liberally sometimes, but “perfect casting” is all I can think of with Josh Henry (and Ciara). Cannot wait. Was wondering if if find reason for a 10th visit, and here it is.

I wonder if Josh will also be debuting the same night as Ciara considering how they pushed up Ciara's performance dates?

I’m really surprised by your thoughts on Tyrone Davis, Jr… he went on when I went to see the show and I probably gave one of the worst performances I’ve seen professionally. Fingers crossed that I just saw an off night!

Has anyone on this board seen Jennifer Nettles in the role? I haven’t read of a ton re: her performance as Jenna.

I saw her second performance and she was great. She played it differently than the Jenna’s I’ve seen - she was VERY sad but it worked well. Vocally she was incredible. I’m sure she’s only grown into the role. I wish I could see her again.

i have to say i enjoyed Waitress for what it is the first time, and didnt have any intention of going back after seeing Shoshana Bean's definitive performance but Ciara Renee and Josh Henry? Hard to resist.

Of the 3 Jennas I've seen (Christine Dwyer and Sara being the other two), it's a close competition but I think Nettles was my favorite. I agree that her acting choices were very different but they worked really well. She also (to no one's surprise) sings the hell out of the score. Her natural accent adds a lot of authenticity too.
Side note, they seem to be keeping SUTBM in the key that Sara does it in (F major, a half step below the cast album) now, and I kind of like it. The low notes at the beginning sound really good and the end is probably easier to do sustainably. Regarding the ending, I'd have to imagine that's why it was lowered from G major to F# in the first place - there's press video of Jessie singing it in the higher key from Broadway rehearsals.

I saw her and she was absolutely amazing. Played the hell out of the role, I could not have asked for anything else. The only other Jenna I've seen live has been Kat Macphee and they were two completely different characters. Jennifer and Erich were also an amazing pairing, they had great chemistry and you matter to me was heavenly.

Erich posted some video today of the scene before It Only Takes a Taste being filmed with he and Nettles. I can't imagine it's for ads since they're both leaving the show in two weeks, anyone know what it's for?
EDIT: The videos aren't on Erich's page anymore, only a photo of the multicam monitor. Here they are, courtesy of someone on Twitter who saved them - https://twitter.com/amym1972/status/1458215754193678337?s=20

My guess is it was an invited taping for the CBS Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast. A few shows are featured each year and they perform from their own theaters.
Either for the Macy’s Parade or a pre-taped performance for a morning show.

I’ve been wondering, how does one get invited to a pre-taped performance? Is it just friends and family, e.g. invited dress?
