Planning to be in NYC this weekend, hoping to rush Waitress on Thursday or Friday. How has it been lately?

Any updates for Katharine McPhee’s last week? I want to rush on Friday and am wondering if I should get there earlier than normal...

I rushed yesterday. I showed up at 8 and was 4th in line. There were less than 20 people in line when the box office opened.

What seat(s) did being 4th in line get you?
I got 2 seats in right orchestra, row N. Most of the people in the rush line were in our row or directly behind us.

Is it too risky to show up tomorrow at 12 when the box office opens to get rush tickets? Keep in mind it's a Sunday, so I'm not too sure.
Check Telecharge to see how well-sold it is. I went a few days ago (Thursday) at 9:00. There were 14 in front of us. Got rear orch, fantastic seats. All the rush were full-view, and they sold a lot of them. It was also Cast Recording Karaoke day, so there were more people rushing than usual on a weekday. I'd say it's worth a shot, and have a backup plan if not.

What would cause you to not be able to arrive earlier than noon?

Arrived this morning (Thursday) at 8am and was 4th in line. By 10am, there were 12 people max. Received Box, Partial View tix.

Usually the rush tickets are for Box or are any of them located at the Orchestra?

We got two rush seats in the orchestra - 2 or 3 rows from the stage, the "partial view" seats all the way to the left. The ticket to our immediate right didn't sell - or the person didn't show - so we slid over a seat. Missed a moment or two at the counter but nothing major... thought they were fabulous seats, especially for rush price. People in front of/behind us in the rush line were right in front of/behind us.
(Granted, this was in July, so they might be doing something different now)

Are they still doing rush tickets? How early do you have to get to the theatre to buy them?

I rushed the show yesterday. We got there 20 minutes before the box office opened and there was a line, but there were 2 shows that day and it seemed like most were there for the evening performance. The seats were row L all the way to the left, marked as full view but I wasn’t able to see part of the diner or anything that happened all the way on the left.

I arrived at 10:15 on last Thursday and got Row M Orchestra left hand side. If you are up a few rows, I could see how those seats could be obstructed, but these pretty much had a full view of the stage. Lady after me got 2 as well. Really decent seats for $40. Al Roker actually turned out decent in his role though I really thought it was a way out there casting choice.
