I think a lot of people are underestimating American Psycho. From a purely creative stand point and something unique I think this has a good shot at Musical, Score, Book, Design, lead actor and choreography.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
I agree. It won't win, but from what I've seen and heard it also probably has a good shot at lighting and set design.
Who does everyone think will get nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Musical? Obviously Lin-Manuel Miranda, Danny Burstein, and Leslie Odom Jr. will, and also probably Alex Brightman, but who else? Zachary Levi? Benjamin Walker?
I would be really surprised if Lin wasn't nominated. Besides the fact that he has a lot of goodwill towards him, I think he's giving an excellent performance. It may not be as explosive in the way that Leslie's is, but he's doing great work in that role and deserves the nomination.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
What about Austin P Mckenzie for Melchior, in Spring Awakening revival?
And I'm surprised Mann (Tuck), and Porter/Mitchell (Shuffle Along) are not in your list of best actor nominations (I know, no one's seen their work yet but they are all getting top billing and are serious contenders given their history with Tonys)
Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.
If he did win Nicholaw would have directed the Featured Actor in a Musical winner for the past three years.

Let's not forget Brian Stokes Mitchell and possibly Billy Porter (depending on category placement) in SHUFFLE ALONG.

I very much doubt Spring Awakening will get that many nods. Closed shows don't normally get tony love, and this is a very strong season. If Shuffle Along gets pproved as a revival, I doubt SA will even be in the category.
The one thing I know for a fact is that two incredible actresses of color will be taking home leading actress awards. Lupita WILL win leading actress in a play. Cynthia WILL win leading actress in a musical. I mean, these performances are legendary. I've seen both. Obviously Audra's performance will be beautiful and she's always a contender, but Cynthia deserves and earned this Tony award which she will absolutely be getting. If you haven't seen this show, get to the Jacobs and buy yourself a ticket. She is ethereal.

Mann will not get a nomination for TUCK. It's not that type of role.
