Wandering Child - If you have a student ID you can get $45 Mezz seats the day of the show. TKTS has been having tickets also. I was @ the Nederlander yesterday (albeit I didn't actually GO to the show) and side orchestra seats were $35. Not bad, though I don't know how often this is the case (probably just during weekdays when tourist season is over).

It's been in my expierience that unless theres a stunt cast member, its fairly easy to get awesome seats with the student ID. When we saw Jeremy Kushnier's Last Show (Drew Lachey was in the cast at the time) We weren't allowed to use them because they had a special mezzinine price running for Drew's run in the show.

I highly dislike stunt casting. My condolences on having seen Drew Lachey live.
Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to

Lol. He wasnt as bad as I was expecting, to be honest. He wasnt great..but at least I wasnt cringing the whole time.
He just needed practice enunciating his words a little.

You're not the only one. I guess no one mods this thread much anymore -- I've thought that for a while -- but if it got deleted everyone would be all upset.
You don't have to send yourself into exile over it.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the welcomes and tips. I got my icon from the needtoexpress site. I love it! xm3L24x...I agree...it's been a great week for me finding out about Rent info as well. February promises to be a great month. Although you're soo lucky that you get to go to a book signing, I wish I could, but all my money is going towards me going to see the play!
No day but today.

I'm 20 right now...soon to be 21...in 5 months! I was only 10 when the original Rent cast was performing, if only I were a wee bit older.
No day but today.

This is rather belated, buuuut... welcome, jlc6314. Do you mind if I call you Jill? That's make it easier for me. You can call me Stage, or Whore, or Peppermint, or Peppermint Patty, or Patty, or... whatever.
I'm going to repost my call for all those going to the S.F. signing. We all ought to at least say hi. So PM me.
BTW, Jill, you should read the FAQ. They're helpful. And surprisingly, not boring.

"Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good."
He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?"
"Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women."
"My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much."

Holy snap. Only 8 days until my birthday.
And everyone will be going to that stupid dance at the school.
Which is good, because I like to spend my birthdays with my mom. I don't think I've ever thrown a birthday party before.

Oh, and rentluvr, most of the people currently on this thread were never welcomed. Don't be offended. You know what? I think this calls for a special Emcee en masse welcome. Emmmmmmmmmm, where are youuuuuuuuuu?

Yeah. I think the welcoming is just...known, so there's really no need for verbal communication....if you get what I'm saying.
